I am an original merger shareholder of @Metamaterialtec (META #mmat $mmat) who has currently voted "NO" on the Authorized Share Increase Proposal. 🚫 This proposal, which seeks to increase the total number of authorized shares of common stock from 10,000,000 to 250,000,000, represents a staggering dilution of over 2400%. 😵🪦 As a retail investor, I find this request to be not only substantial but also deeply concerning, particularly given that retail investors like myself have already endured a significant decrease in share value. 📉 While I recognize the importance of raising capital for commercialization efforts and appreciate the transparency and effort put into communicating the company's strategy and needs through the recent letter to shareholders. 📄 I am troubled by the repetitive pattern where retail investors are asked to shoulder the burden of the company's financial strategies, at great cost to our investments. 🔄 I am concerned that if the company becomes successful, it will primarily benefit institutional investors rather than the retail investors who have supported the company through its difficult times. This is a valid concern that heavily influences my decision. 👎👎 I am also keenly aware of the company's restructuring efforts in 2023 to focus on four core technologies, which signals a strategic alignment towards efficiency and market readiness. 👏 However, the historical performance, particularly the substantial decrease in share value already experienced by retail investors, makes the proposed dilution even more difficult to accept without further concrete assurances. 🤨 I would like to emphasize the importance of the upcoming Q&A session and webcast. The upcoming meetings represent crucial opportunities for the company to provide detailed information and reassurances regarding the long-term benefits of the Authorized Share Increase Proposal. 🗣️ Specifically, the company needs to outline how it plans to reduce the impact of the proposal on retail investors and ensure that they can participate meaningfully in the company's future success. As a result, my vote will depend on the company's ability to address these concerns effectively. 🗳️ My vote of "NO" is not set in stone. It is a reflection of my current concerns and the need for more detailed information and reassurances. I am open to reconsidering my position if the company can address the concerns of dilution, articulate a clear and compelling long-term financial strategy that benefits all shareholders, and demonstrate a commitment to valuing the contributions and sacrifices of its retail investor base ✊
