whenever there’s a line in a public bathroom, i notice that the women ahead of me usually take like 3-5 min in the stall. i’ve always been confused about why. i timed myself today and it took me under 40 seconds without rushing. is everyone else just resting or something?

If she withholds her brand, how can we integrate it into ours? She offered, “I like plants, I guess.” I told her we needed more than guess-based hobbies. I documented “identity underperformance” in her onboarding matrix. Then I assigned a follow-up task: submit a 3-slide deck titled “What Makes Me Fun In A Monetizable Way.” She has until EOD. No one gets to be neutral here.

Showing up 15 minutes early for an interview is basically trespassing. Our receptionist notified me that a UX designer was waiting in the lobby at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. slot. I walked out and asked why he was trying to steal company time before he was even on the official payroll. He said he just wanted to account for traffic and make a solid first impression. I told him that aggressive punctuality indicates a fundamental inability to accurately estimate project timelines. He asked if he should go wait in his car until the exact minute. I said no, the damage to his cultural fit score was already permanently done. I made him sit facing the lobby wall until exactly 10:00 a.m. so he could think about his schedule. Then I canceled the interview entirely because his anxious energy was too disruptive.

@ineedanothernap Gush over new moms, babysit for moms with young kids, and NO other woman with or without children should care about this silly holiday except to be gracious to their own children who want to be nice.

The reason this is complicated is bc a large swath of boomer moms still want to be celebrated & have the day revolve around them.

@BasedTorba Not everybody had the pink drink. Some of us got those red little pills to chew up to stain our teeth. They had a very addictive flavor.

They did, but instead they made us some drink pink fluoride drink in little plastic cups, ran audio and visual experiments on us, and did everything possible to keep us out of positions of power. It was called the GATE program.

@DrCamiloOrtiz It is painful to watch parents cajoling kids to eat or giving into picky crap. Espeically with multiple children, you have to just make a reasonable meal, let them skip a dish they don't know yet, and STOP WORRYING.

No parent needs to have "child foods" like sugary cereals or processed chicken nuggets at home to "get their child to eat." For example, you serve them whatever you are eating for dinner. If they don't eat it, that's perfectly fine. Breakfast will be served in 12 hours.
