@rwojo @thsottiaux The first thing I did was create a custom app to show me the exact timings of the codex resets. Today's expired on that stipulated date. You can easily get Codex to provide you something similar. But I am more worried now about the weekly usage that feels completely off ritte now

Ugh, my Codex banked reset expired today before I could use it, turns out 7/27 meant at 23:56:02 UTC which was under an hour ago (7:56PM EST). Totally lost out on that reset @thsottiaux. Can they last until the EOD or safely until something like early next morning to cover all timezones?

@thsottiaux I couldn't have timed this more perfectly, hit 1% and was getting worried. But serious talk, it really seems like we are burning tokens at a higher rate than before 5.6, even though it is more token efficient. Super concerning.

We have reset usage limits for all Codex and ChatGPT Work users. Last night around 2am to 4am we suffered an almost global outage. All well and recovered, but you know what comes next. We learn. We reset. Enjoy.

@jun_song I can't cancel either subscription due to this. And I don't see the flip flops ending.

Up until now, I didn’t think a Claude subscription was worth it over GPT because of the usage limits. Now, Claude offers a more powerful model and way higher usage limits. It doesn't matter how many times they throw out extra resets—that’s just temporary rations.

I don't have a Codex Micro, so made one with a virtual USB driver (no patching ChatGPT.app). Cool experiment, but obviously keyboard shortcuts and hooks accomplish everything you'd need instead. Nice to see the UI for it activated and fooled in ChatGPT, though.

I’m significantly older than you. I started coding in the late 60s. My current strategy is to not read any of the code written by my agents. That’s the only way I can take advantage of their productivity. What I do instead is to surround the agents with extreme constraints. Unit tests, gherkin tests, QA procedures, quality metrics, mutation testing, test coverage, and a plethora of others. In the end, I have very high confidence in the code they produce because they’ve had to run the gauntlet of all of my constraints and tests.
