@TweetsbyCoachP Because we live in an age where our lives are an open book - social media. On Facebook, for example, nobody is posting their L’s. Everyone is winning…everyone’s life is in order…nobody is struggling. But it’s not reality. So we’ve lost a sense of growth by failure.

Why have we became so fearful of letting our kids fail at anything? It’s one of life’s great teaching tools.

My wife and I were talking the other day about potential career options for my 15 yrs old daughter who really struggles in school and is likely not college bound/material. For guys it’s easy… Don’t want to go to college, pick a trade or figure something else out such as a police officer, firefighter etc. It’s not as easy for girls. I think she would do well in sales since she is attractive, has the personality and is extremely social (spends hours everyday talking on the phone to all her friends). For parents with daughters who aren’t on the college path…what are some real, high-income career options you’ve seen work?

I think many times at the youth level, coaches use it as any easy, “let them learn” activity…instead of as a coaching tool. I think well over half of youth coaches aren’t using them properly. But bc “we need to be better at possession” it’s a staple.

@CoachDEllis1914 @CoachRC23 This is why you hear people say that degrees are just a piece of paper and don’t mean a person is actually intelligent. Having a master’s in…wait for it…EDUCATION, and then starting your sentence off in this context with “It’s a reason…” it’s embarrassing.

@CoachSamz @CoachRC23 Its a reason all of these college coaches keep hiring TXHS FB coaches. I've seen alot of P4 dudes that cant coach. Ive gone to clinics, camps etc. The EDDs they teach dont translate over to real games. Its just doing trendy crap that dont get guys better.
