The president’s new funding proposal was praised by some advocates for beautifying the city, such as Justin Shubow, the president of @civicartsociety, a nonprofit focused on classical art and architecture.
“It’s wonderful to see the interest in beautifying Washington, D.C., which FDR called the loveliest city in the world,” said Shubow, who also chairs a Trump administration council focused on beautifying transportation infrastructure. “There’s so much to do. Besides repairing iconic fountains, the featureless Theodore Roosevelt Bridge ought to be completed with large carved sculptures as originally intended.”

We cite Wall Street bonuses as proof that New York’s economy is thriving, but the CEO of the largest private employer in the city is publicly admitting his headcount here is shrinking while he grows in Texas.
The tax base we’re counting on is quietly walking out the door. Instead of pro-growth policy that attracts new investment, our electeds keep fishing from the same shrinking pond and then act surprised when the catch gets smaller every year. If we don’t change course, keep increasing our bills … there will be almost no one left to pay it.

IDK, I partially agree but it’s also about capturing my POV at a moment in time, even if it was not picturesque, it was mine and puts me back into that time and place and the emotions I felt seeing it.
More than that it’s also about keeping a personal record of all the artworks I’ve seen that I can go back to at any time and read more information about since I don’t have time in a museum to read about everything. After a month, I don’t remember more than half the things I saw in a museum.

This ad is in Washington DC. Like many ads in Washington DC the intended audience is not the general public, it’s Members of Congress, their legislative staff, federal regulators like the SEC/CFTC, maybe even journalists and judicial clerks.
It may not even come from their marketing department, but their lobbying department.
