The Iran war cost more than $11 billion in the first week, Pentagon says. — NYT

Tom Izzo: “There’s no moral victories. I’m at Michigan State. No matter what those people think, we’ve done it longer and better than most. I thought we played with them in every way, shape and form. They made a couple of big plays, we had a couple of shots go in and out when it was a five or six point game.”

I feel sorry for Jared Isaacman having to deal with this total mess, and I am starting to doubt that Artemis will ever reach the Moon. The root of these problems lies with Congress, which, when they approved funding, stipulated that legacy Shuttle technology, parts, and suppliers had to be used. The problem is that this technology is more than fifty years old and riddled with issues that are now dragging down the entire program. In the name of “saving” money, which in practice meant funneling funds to favored contractors in specific congressional districts, Congress turned the entire program into a giant boondoggle.

After overnight data showed an interruption in helium flow in the SLS interim cryogenic propulsion stage, teams are troubleshooting and preparing for a likely rollback of Artemis II to the VAB at @NASAKennedy. This will almost assuredly impact the March launch window. @NASA will continue to provide updates as they become available.
