EXIT 8…video game adaptations CAN be good! You’re immediately drawn in by its first-person camera, like you have your hands on the controller. When that pov shifts, it becomes a Backrooms “spot the difference” game that’s so immersive in its single location setting that it gets the audience playing along too. The feeling of entrapment is so unnerving but its overall theme of second chances is strong.

Saw exit 8 today. The beginning reassured me that this film would be amazing. There is a fidelity to the genre of video game in this film that most films miss. The scares are impressive and the choices of music are also impressive for how much they add the film.

I just watched EXIT 8 and gotta say, it really is one of the best video game adaptations. Like it not only expands on the small concept by giving it depth and detail with its story, but the film was very faithful and surprisingly emotional! Highly recommend it!
