That’s a known forensic limitation, not evidence of a second weapon. If it truly “didn’t match,” you’d be seeing language like excluded as the source in a court filing, and that would be front-page news across every major outlet. You’re not seeing that, because that’s not what’s been established. The actual reporting on this case still treats the recovered rifle as the suspected weapon, with additional evidence like DNA and scene linkage still in play. What you’ve got is uncertainty being spun into a conclusion that the evidence does not support. Not being able to match a bullet is not the same as proving it came from a different gun, and pretending those are the same thing is either misunderstanding or intentional spin.
