The very campaign to fight "narcotics" in the Caribbean was used by the US to pirate Russian oil in the Arctic, after they stole Venezuela's. The US & NATO then launched Operation Arctic Sentry 2 weeks before attacking Iran, with the explicit goal of blocking fuel to China. It's astonishing that so many can't see what's happening.

This doesn't prove they were launched from Kazakhstan - the crash location is only 10 km from the Russian border. The drone flew east along the border and was downed while it was over Kazakh territory. This border isn't a straight line and Ukraine has made it clear it doesn't care if its drones fly slightly inside another country's airspace.

@DarioCpx Markets seem to see this going 1 of 2 ways. A deal gets done or Trump takes over the Strait with force. Either way, it happens quickly. The market doesn't care about Iran nukes or anything else. If Iran had any chance of dragging it out, markets would be down big. IMO

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC-N) has announced that beginning in the evening on Saturday, it will be reimposing a total blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, in response to the United States’ refusal to lift its ongoing naval blockade on Iran which it views as a violation of the current ceasefire agreement that is set expired next Tuesday, April 21. The IRGC-N states that all vessels are directed to remain at anchorage in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, and that any any vessels will be considered “hostile” and targeted if they approach the Strait of Hormuz.

Dated Brent is trading at $130, while oil futures are at $90. Futures will climb back above $100, probably this week.

@JavierBlas The convergence came from both sides collapsing onto the narrative, not physical tightness resolving. Once mediator + $20B framework + Hormuz claim stacked, physical traders de-risked the same way equity did. When it's this organized, narrative velocity prices both factors.

It turns out that oil financial and physical markets do converge -- just not in the way that many were expecting. Dated Brent is now below $100 a barrel (from $145 last week), and physical differentials in the key pricing window have plunged >$10 from a few days ago.
