My point however is simply that it is incredibly hard (without a wealth of resources) to actually live by these standards on an individual level. There is a root cause here.

i’m not even a vegetarian, usually eat meat at least once a day, but watching people who eat meat be incredibly wrong and annoying about vegetarianism and vegetarian diets puts me on defense mode

@hyperdollia 'non-binary', to me, is a range of genders. a society without gender would have as many non-binary people as it has men.
the important part, anyways, is that gender abolitionists aim to bring about a genderless future (!). they still agree that we are, presently (!), gendered.

The broader queer community hasn't moved past a 'born this way' understanding of sexuality and gender because the concept of either of them being anything but inmutable and innate is immediately weaponized against us.
