@greaterbayo 1 hour with Dangote is not 1hr with God. You can't even control how he'll spend the 1hr with you, what he'll share and the questions he'll be willing to answer. But with the 10m you can decide your future there and then. It's not poverty, 10m is enough to start a dream here!

Takfīr in the Sūfī Ideology
There is a popular Arabic proverb that says: Ramatni bi-dāʾihā wa insalat “She threw her disease at me and then slipped away.” Used to describe someone who rebukes another for a defect that he himself possesses.
The Sūfīs are well known for levelling the accusation of takfīr against their principal antagonists, whom they label “Wahābīs.” By this designation they mean those Muslims who call to the pristine tawḥīd and warn against all forms of bidʿah, classically identified as the Salafīs, the Atharīs, or Ahl al-Ḥadīth wa al-Sunnah, as Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ashʿarī himself describes them in Maqālāt al-Islāmiyyīn (p. 290).
It is certainly true that certain fringe groups claiming affiliation with Salafiyyah have strayed from sound Islamic teaching by pronouncing unwarranted takfīr or tabdīʿ. The same phenomenon, however, exists among misguided elements within Sūfism who excommunicate fellow Muslims out of ignorance.
Moreover, mainstream Sūfī literature contains numerous statements that promote extremism and, in certain cases, justifications for violence. The following examples illustrate the point:
The renowned Algerian Sunni scholar al-Bashīr al-Ibrāhīmī (d. 1965) recorded that a Sūfī group in Algeria known as Jamʿiyyat al-Sunnah was asked: “Who is a Wahābī?” They replied: “He is the one who has disbelieved in Allāh and His Messenger!!” (Āthār al-Ibrāhīmī, 1/123).
A subtle instance of takfīr appears in the words of Shaykh Aḥmad al-Tijānī (d. 1815), founder of the widely followed Tijānī order: “Whoever embraces our group and then embraces another will be afflicted with the tribulations of this world and the hereafter and will never return to [our group] except through sincere repentance” (Kitāb al-Fatḥ al-Rabbānī fī mā yaḥtāju ilayhi al-Murīd al-Tijānī by Muḥammad bin ʿAbdillāh bin Ḥasanayn al-Tijānī, p. 47).
The Indian Sūfī sect al-Janbūriyyah asserted that its leader was the imām of the era and that whoever refused to follow him would die a disbeliever. The sect therefore sanctioned the killing of several of its opponents.
(See: Indian Sects Affiliated with Islam in the Tenth Hijri Century and Their Impact on Creed: A Study and Critique (Arabic) by Dr. Muḥammad Kabīr Aḥmad Shūdrī, p. 291).
In an explicit declaration of takfīr, Muḥammad bin Sulaymān al-Baghdādī (d. 1818/1819 CE) of the Naqshbandī order wrote: “Beware of saying that the Sūfī orders are not from the Qurʾān and Sunnah, for such a statement is kufr!”
(Kitāb al-Ḥadīqah an-Nadiyyah fī Ādāb aṭ-Ṭarīqah an-Naqshbandiyyah, p. 31).
Similarly, Muḥammad bin ʿAbdillāh al-Khānī, also of the Naqshbandī order, stated: “Whoever does not have a Shaykh (i.e., a Sūfī mentor), then his Shaykh is Shayṭān; and as long as his Shaykh is Shayṭān he remains in kufr until he adopts a [Sūfī] Shaykh”
(al-Bahjah al-Saniyyah fī Ādāb aṭ-Ṭarīqah al-ʿAliyyah al-Khālidiyyah an-Naqshbandiyyah, p. 47).
Meanwhile, while we observe extremist Sūfīs declaring takfīr upon their opponents, major Sunni scholars such as Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim demonstrated respect and fairness toward the earliest moderate Sūfīs who adhered to the Sunnah.
Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said: “The Sufis are at times upon the way of the Sufis of the Ahl al-Ḥadīth - and they are the best of them and their leading figures; at times upon the creed of the Sufis of the Ahl al-Kalām, so these are beneath them; and at times upon the creed of the Sufis of the philosophers, like those heretics.”
(al-Ṣafadiyyah, 1/267).
This is why we find him in his books praising and commending the earliest Sūfīs of the Ahl al-Ḥadīth, such as al-Fuḍayl, Ibrāhīm bin Adham, al-Junayd, Rābiʿah, al-Tustarī, Bishr al-Ḥāfī, and the likes of these noble figures whom the scholars praised in their own eras and thereafter. Yet he is a mortal enemy of al-Ḥallāj, Ibn ʿArabī, and their likes for their obvious heresies.
Ibn al-Qayyim likewise referred to the moderate Sūfīs in his al-Nūniyyah with the following verses:
أهل الحديث جميعهم وأئمة الـ ...
ـفتوى وأهل حقائق العرفان
All the Ahl al-Ḥadīth, together with the Imams of fatwā and the possessors of the realities of knowledge,
العارفون بربهم ونبيهم ...
ومراتب الأعمال في الرجحان
The knowers of their Lord and their Prophet, who weigh the stations of deeds with perfect balance
صوفية سنية نبوية ...
ليسوا أولي شطح ولا هذيان
Sunni, Prophetic Sufis: they are free of jargons and raving delirium.
هذا كلامهم لدينا حاضر ...
من غير ما كذب ولا كتمان
Their words are present before us, clear and unaltered, neither falsehood nor concealment therein.
فاقبل حوالة من أحال عليهم ...
هم أملياء أولو إمكان
Therefore, accept the referral of anyone who refers to them, for they are trustworthy authorities, men of true capability.
Finally, if one were to accept the charge that Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb was a takfīrī merely for reviving tawḥīd and waging jihād, then the same label would have to be applied to major African jihād leaders such as Shaykh ʿUthmān dan Fodio (d. 1817), who was himself a Qādirī Sūfī. For the relevant debates, see Sultan Bello’s Infāq al-Maysūr, which contains Shaykh Muḥammad al-Kanemi of Borno’s refutations of the Dan Fodio campaigns together with the Dan Fodio family’s replies. Shaykh ʿUthmān did not deny the takfīr he pronounced upon the Hausa rulers; he explicitly justified it in his treatise Taʿlīm al-Ikhwān bi al-Umūr allatī Kafarnā bihā Mulūk al-Sūdān (“Informing the Brothers about the Matters by Which We Declared Takfīr upon the Kings of the Sudan”). The manuscript is preserved in the University of Ibadan Library under shelf-mark 82/254 فقه.i.
I have deliberately excluded the many extravagant ecstatic utterances (shaṭḥāt al-Ṣūfiyyah) attributed to figures such as al-Jīlī, al-Basṭāmī, al-Badawī and others. Readers may consult al-Shaʿrānī’s al-Ṭabaqāt al-Kubrā for examples that illustrate the extremes of misguidance and doctrinal deviation found within Sūfism.
May Almighty Allāh make us among the followers of the Sunnah and protect us from the innovations of the misguided. Āmīn.

Bismillah
Between last night and this moment, I have chanced upon numerous discussions concerning Muhammad bn Abdil Wahhab, his seminal work Kitaabu Tawheed, the Hadith of iftiraaq, and several related and unrelated discourses
In the process, I encountered a plethora of refutations & counter refutations addressing the misrepresented claims against the book and its author. Baarakallahu feekum Ikhwah!
To begin with, Kitaabu Tawheed comprises over 160 chapters that were/are meticulously structured around core theological themes aimed at explicating the doctrine of divine unity as conveyed by Allah & his prophet.
For someone to open his mouth Gbaga or use is hand to title a book “The book of monotheism”, he is methodologically obligated to substantiate each assertion with incontrovertible textual evidence from the Quran & authentic Hadith.
With all the misinformation flying around, one might assume that the author hermeneutically distorted the verses of the Quran or cited weak and unreliable hadith as evidentiary support.
Perhaps so that people won’t say imam Muhammad bn abdilwahab(the author) said rubbish in his book, he deliberately refrained from inserting his personal exegesis in ALL the chapters. Allahu Akbar, once he presents a chapter heading, he followed it directly with “Allah says…” & “The prophet said…”.
Take for instance, imam said “chapter: Explanation of Tawheed and laailaha illaLLAH”. You’d think he wants to use his own words to explain. The first thing you’d find under the heading are 5 different verses, followed immediately by a Hadith:
من قال لا إله إلا الله ، وكفر بما يعبد من دون الله، حرم ماله ودمه، وحسابه على الله تعالى
"He who professes that there is no true god except Allah and denies of everything which the people worship besides Allah, his property and blood become inviolable, and it is for Allah to call him to account"
Having engaged with the book on multiple occasions, I contend that no sincere Muslim would find fault with the book except one who falls into 1 or more of these categories:
An uninformed or deficient muslim who still harbors vestiges of shirk.
One who invokes deceased scholars or saints during times of distress.
One who subscribes to a form of religious pluralism that equates all religions as equally valid.
4. One who engages in occult practices Abi magic and erroneously labels them as Karaamat.
5. One who frequently patronizes or practices soothsaying and divination.
6. Even more explicitly, anyone who is drooling in outright shirk, to mention only but a few.
Perhaps the most reprehensible category to me are those those who have not even perused the book but hastily formulate their conclusions based on the polemics of partisan critics.
I therefore challenge any critic of the book to produce a single chapter in which the author demonstrably misquotes a verse or hadith, or relies upon spurious narrations.
Furthermore,Imam Idris A oni(PhD) has written extensively in critique of the book, yet has not, to my best of knowledge, recommended an alternative text that systematically teaches Tawheed. He is also yet to identify a specific chapter that ostensibly promotes extremism or terrorism, accompanied by a substantiated analytical critique.
If I were to undertake a critique of any work, without necessarily attaining the highest pinnacle of learning, I would adopt a methodologically sound approach. I’ll first thoroughly read the text, isolate specific passages or statements warranting critique, and then refute them with superior evidence and scholarly precision.
For instance, if I want to critique the statement attributed to sheikh Ibrahim Niass in a work titled تحصيل الأماني
Sheikh Ibrahim said:
ومن يحبني ومن يراني في جنة الخلد بلا بهتان إذ أنني خليفة التجاني موهبة من أحمد العدناني
“Whoever loves me and sees me shall be in the eternal Paradise without any false claim, for indeed I am the successor of Ahmad Tijaani, a gift from Ahmad Al-Adnaani (the Prophet).”

In critically evaluating such a claim, I’ll first argue that neither sheikh Ahmad nor sheikh Ibrahim were from the Companions. Moreover, neither the Prophet nor his Companions ever made such unconditional assurances of Paradise. On the contrary, the Prophet cautioned his own daughter, Fatimah, that her lineage alone would not avail her on the day of Judgment without righteous deeds.
Additionally, during the Prophet’s lifetime, a man arrogantly claimed that if paradise truly existed, he would enter it in a state of affluence lol. Allah responded with a stern repudiation in suratu Maryam. With that, I have been able to establish a precedent against unwarranted claims of guaranteed salvation.
Had Sheikh Ibrahim not made such a statement, would Sheikh Nur Hakeem have spoken of him with such lofty praise and eloquent admiration?
Sheikh Nur Hakeem said:
1.
ﻳﺎ ﺍﻟﺸﻴﺦ ﺇﺑﺮﺍﻫﻴﻢ ﻏﻮﺙ ﻟﻠﻮﺍﺭﻯ ##
ﻏﺜﻨﻰ ﺑﻐﻴﺜﻚ ﻓﺎﻟﻤﻨﻰ ﺗﻨﻔﻰ ﺍﻟﻜﺮﻯ
O Sheikh Ibrahim, succour of the WORLD,
Relieve me with your aid, for longings dispel all weariness.
2.
ﻣﻦ ﺩﻭﻥ ﻓﻀﻠﻚ ﻻﺃُ ﺃَﻫﻞ ﻟﻠﺘﻨﺎ ##
ﻭﻟﺤﺎﺟﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻓﺮﻁ ﺫﻧﺐ ﻗﺪﺟﺮﻯ
Apart from YOUR grace, I possess no worthiness for attainment,
Nor for the fulfillment of needs, burdened as I am by abundant sins.
3.
ﻟﻜﻨﻨﻰ ﺃﻋﺪﺩﺕ ﺣﺒﻚ ﺳﻴّﺪﻯ ##
ﻓﺒﺬﺍﻙ ﻓﺎﻟﺤﺎﺟﺎﺕ ﻣﻘﻀﻰ ﻻ ﻣﺮﻯ
Yet I have made your love, my master(sheikh Ibrahim), my provision,
And by it, ALL needs are fulfilled without doubt or contention.
4.
ﺇﺫ ﺃﻧﺖ ﻋﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﻴﻦ ﻣﻦ ﻫﻮ ﻋﻠﺔ ##
ﻟﻠﻜﻮﻥ ﻣﻦ ﻟﻮﻻﻩ ﻛﻞ ﻻ ﻳﺮﻯ
For you(sheikh Ibrahim) are the REALITY of the very source of the One who is the cause
Of all existence. He without whom nothing would ever be brought into manifestation or seen.
However, since my objective here is not to go deeply into the statements of sheikh Ibrahim Niyaas or related personalities, I’ll pause here.
The discussion on the Hadith of the 73 sects will be reserved for another occasion, in shaa Allah

This is partly why I decided not to keep quiet. Please read:
*I had a counselling session last week. It was with a particular Habibaty who is preparing for her first MB exam. That is the first professional exam that those who study MBBS write, written in 300 level. It is a central exam and quite intense.
Before the exam, they actually write one in 200 level called pre-MB. It is like a mock exam, just like when you're about to write WAEC and your school gives you a mock exam to prepare you and give you a taste of what the main thing will be like.
Our session basically centered around preparing for her exams, and from the look of things, she does really get a hang of it, and I'm rooting for her.
But we didn't suddenly get here. Our sessions have been a while coming.
Her mother first reached out to me last year and booked counselling appointments for her.
What happened?
An 18-year-old teenager in 200 level, very, very brilliant, given her A-levels grade and the fact that she got her MBBS admission the first and only time she tried, suddenly stopped attending classes. Stopped reading. Stopped doing that which her parents sent her to the university to do.
Because she had moved with the wrong crowd, not the type that you're probably thinking about.
These types are the extremist types. The ones that tell girls that education is fitnah and exposes them to corruption, and all sorts of jargon.
I don't know at what point she became brainwashed.
But it all started with accompanying a friend to one halqah around the campus. After that day, she went back, and again, and again.
And with each passing time, her Eemān “rises,” and she further disassociated from her education, as she saw it as mere distraction from her utmost goal, which is the ākhirah.
She started spending all of her time going to these people’s halqah, madrassah, sittings, meetings, etc.
Thankfully, she had a roommate who immediately notified her parents.
And boy, were they disoriented?
The mother was crying when she called me. She said they were not a particularly rich or even comfortable family. They scraped pennies to pay for her A-levels and for her school fees at the university.
They had tried to correct her and even punish her by restricting her stipends, but she only got more adamant.
They actually managed to get her to come home so they could talk sense into her, but instead, Habibaty started telling them about how corrupted the university system now is with the free mixing, the dress code required of her, how endless studying contributes nothing to her ākhirah. What if she died before she got to complete her education?
She further worsened the situation by saying she was ready to get married to one of those people, yes, the same extremist people who brainwashed her. She was going to be a third wife to a man who was clearly not succeeding in taking care of the first two and their battalion of children.
For a girl given so much, that would be tantamount to ruining her own life.
It was the type of misfortune that one never recovers from, and one's generation continues to suffer for it.
The mother said they had to lock her up in the house because she had grown way too stubborn. She was very exhausted already, and the father's BP was high.
She said they had gotten my contact from someone who follows me on Facebook and knows I have a Mentorship for teenage Muslim girls.
I was not surprised, actually. Parents call me for all kinds of things for their teenage daughters, and I'm so glad that they see me in that role.
Aside from being a professional counselling psychologist, I appreciate the impact I have on young girls all over. The other time, a sister’s parents actually called me regarding their daughter’s NYSC. Both of them were speaking on the phone while asking questions: Is it ideal for a Muslimah? Is it ideal for this? For that? How about dressing? How about exposure and free mixing? Etc."

Nigeria Is Not A Country. It Is Gilbert Chagoury’s Private Estate.
I was in Geneva today. Two hours with a very senior Swiss banker — a good friend. The subject was Gilbert Chagoury.
This man does not laugh easily. He laughed constantly.
Every time I described what was happening in Nigeria — every contract, every honour, every port deal — he laughed. Not with me. At Nigeria. And I sat there feeling something I rarely allow myself to feel. Shame.
Here is what I was telling him.
Since Tinubu took office, Gilbert Chagoury — a man convicted in Switzerland for laundering Abacha’s stolen funds — has collected over $12.7 billion in Nigerian federal contracts. The Lagos-Calabar Highway. Tin Can Port. Apapa Port. Snake Island. All without competitive bidding. And the President’s son Seyi sits on the board of a Chagoury Group subsidiary — then goes on television to tell Nigerians his father is not enriching his friends.
My banker friend laughed at that one the longest.
In January, Tinubu gave Chagoury Nigeria’s second highest national honour. The presidency didn’t even announce it. Someone posted a photograph on X.
Then came London. A £746 million port financing deal sealed at Downing Street during Tinubu’s state visit — with Chagoury reportedly in the delegation, and his company already selected to execute the contract. The British know his history. They have decided it does not matter.
My Swiss friend told me plainly: Nigeria will never be taken seriously as long as a man who helped Abacha loot the treasury can return decades later, collect billions in contracts, receive national honours, stand beside the President in London, and face zero consequence.
He is right.
I will not stop writing. But tonight I drove back to my hotel carrying the weight of a country that deserves so much better than what it is being given.

Simple way to get over any checkpoint without harassment. This works 99.9% of the time. They won't even ask for your paper. They will just jokingly switch to "Ọga wetin dey for us".
Address them by their Ranks. Look at His chest or shoulder and Call him by His police Rank.
2 Red Bar is Copra ,
3 Red Bars Sergeant,
2 White Bars Inspector,
3 white Bars Chief inspector,
1 star, ASP on Probation,
2 stars ASP,
3 stars DSP and so on.
But mostly, na Copra to ASP dey stand for checkpoint.
When you call their Rank, first thing that comes to their mind is either your Father is an officer, or you work in the force. This immediately calm their head and talk to you with respect.

BREAKING🚨: NASA just lost contact with Artemis II astronauts...
Right now, something absolutely wild is happening in space and most people have NO idea.
The Orion spacecraft — with four living, breathing humans inside — just disappeared behind the far side of the Moon.
And when I say disappeared, I mean GONE.
No phone calls. No text messages. No data streaming back to Houston. No heartbeat monitors beeping on a screen somewhere at NASA. Absolutely nothing.
For roughly 40 minutes, four astronauts are more alone than any human being has ever been in the history of our species. They're on the far side of the Moon, surrounded by the kind of silence most of us will never comprehend. The only things keeping them alive are the systems on that spacecraft and the thousands of hours of training burned into their muscle memory.
Think about that for a second.
No one on this entire planet of 8 billion people can reach them. No one can warn them if something goes wrong. No one can talk them through a problem. They are utterly, completely, on their own.
And this isn't new. This happened on EVERY single Apollo mission too. Every time astronauts swung behind the Moon, the world just… held its breath and waited.
But here's the part that gets me every time.
Within the hour, the signal comes back. A crackle of data. A blip on a screen. And then — contact. They made it. They're okay.
And somehow, that silence makes the whole thing even more incredible.
We really are out there.

He stole a car and realized there was a four-month-old baby in the back seat, turning a simple crime into one of the most unusual anecdotes in Oregon police history. Instead of panicking and fleeing to get rid of the evidence, this Beaverton thief displayed a rather twisted moral code: he turned around and drove back to the scene of the theft. What was most surprising wasn't just that he returned the baby safe and sound, but the attitude he adopted when he encountered the mother. Far from showing remorse for the theft, the man got out of the car to give her a lecture, severely reprimanding the woman for leaving the child alone with the engine running. After making sure his "parenting lesson" had been delivered and that the child was safe, he got back in the car and drove off for good. Although the police immediately launched a search for the suspect in the car theft, the incident became known as a case where criminal logic was absurdly intertwined with a sense of civic responsibility. In the end, the thief chose to risk his freedom rather than face the consequences of an accidental kidnapping.
