@LeadingReport Yet you can get arrested for stealing groceries from the supermarket??

They are fully aware that this is a very hard time economically. We need to cancel our subscriptions. This is disgusting behavior.

Netflix is increasing their subscription prices again: • Ad-tier: $7.99 → $8.99 • Standard: $17.99 → $19.99 • Premium: $24.99 → $26.99

Netflix just got a $2.8 BILLION payout from Paramount for its failed Warner Bros. deal.
Then Netflix turned around and raised prices on millions of customers.

@joab121997 @Variety Crazy for social media companies to be found liable for addiction when we allow alcohol and gambling marketing, which are far more addictive and harmful to health
English

This ruling is absurd. Instead of holding parents responsible for not supervising their children, or the individual for their lack of discipline, they go and sue private companies for "designing addictive products."
Social media are voluntary tools! If you don’t like the algorithm, turn off your phone and go back to reading a book or going for a run, like people used to do before.
The state shouldn’t interfere to regulate or protect childish adults from their own decisions.

A jury has ordered Meta and Google to pay $3M to a 20-year-old woman who alleged that she became addicted to Instagram and YouTube as a child:
• Jurors found the companies liable for product design features that harmed her mental health
• The plaintiff, Kaley G.M., testified that the apps replaced her hobbies and contributed to anxiety, depression and body dysmorphia
• The case is the first of thousands targeting Big Tech over addiction to reach trial, a “bellwether” to assess how other claims could be resolved
• Meta was ordered to pay 70% of the damages, with Google responsible for the remaining 30%

@MorePerfectUS @WSJ Shouldn’t there be scientists on the council or science??
English

BREAKING: Trump will appoint Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison and Jensen Huang to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. The council will weigh in on AI policy and other issues, per @WSJ.
English

this makes no sense because intelligent people are using ai and unintelligent people are complaining about it and that implies the ones with brains are the ones that use ai and the ones without brains are the ones that dont

I would like a single word for this phrase: "throw it into the maw with every bit of context I can think of".
Ethan Mollick@emollick
GPT-5.4 Pro continues to be the only model of its class. For anything really hard & complex, I throw it into the maw with every bit of context I can think of. More often than not, something very useful comes out. I can't get the same results from Codex or Code or anything else.
English

@levandovsky I’ll believe in AGI when Codex goes 1 day without an annoying asf bug

projected to LOSE $14 billion this year alone (2026).
They just raised $110 billion last month from Amazon, Nvidia, and SoftBank.
Now they're using chunks of money to guarantee investors 17.5% returns... so they can pull in another ~$4 billion.
Polymarket@Polymarket
JUST IN: OpenAI reportedly offering private-equity firms a guaranteed minimum return of 17.5% in push to raise fresh capital.

@thsottiaux Is Codex capable of successfully coding things completely unlike anything coded before?
