@Nateemerson Fair, and that’s what I’m working on now too, but if I could definitively say “when you see THIS, it’s slop” I could probably also have a deterministic tool that culls it But I’m definitely interested in finding a way to even speed up my understanding if I can’t pinpoint it

@samhuckaby I’m more interested in tools that move the needle on the “read the code” debate Slop review is the bottleneck, how can we accelerate the reviewing?

I need a slop visualizer. I wanna pull a diff and be able to ingest it and visually help myself hunt for slop bloat

@Nateemerson I suppose eventually we all see enough slop that we want to kill it 😂 It does feel like this is the next logical step though, because we could save a lot of time and tokens if we could identify it more easily

@samhuckaby I’ve been literally hacking around a couple ideas near this for the past week and just started seeing a couple solutions in the problem space hitting the TL in the past 48 hrs…there’s alpha here

My favorite use case for AI is still home repair troubleshooting It would have cost around $300 to have an HVAC tech come look at my attic fan and replace the run capacitor It cost me $10 to do it myself with a simple explanation

@Zackary_Chapple I’m pretty familiar with electrical stuff, but it did make extra sure to tell me that I need to discharge it with an insulated screwdriver or something Also, attic fan caps will hurt a bit but don’t store enough to be really damaging thankfully 😅

@samhuckaby Hope it was explaining cap safety, that can kill you faster than live wires if wrong.
