Prediction: Manchester will get a Green Mayor, Makerfield will get a Reformoron MP, and @Keir_Starmer will carry on as PM. War in Iran will end, NHS waiting lists will continue to fall, and economy will boom as 1000s of small businesses finish repaying covid bounceback loans. 👍

@anita_cheshire7 @Salford_RLFC An 8 point try is awarded when you score a try and the defending team commit an offence whilst you are scoring ie head high tackle so you get a try 4 points 2 points for a conversion and a penalty in front of the posts

@Salford_RLFC can anyone clear up the penalty try law? Brad’s was a defo try and rightly awarded a pen try. I thought you had another goal attempt too? So the guy tackling Brad receives no punishment at all. If there’s no consequence we might as well do it too.

Just for those asking about the Odsal Stadium floodlights. I spoke to a member of staff from Sky Sports who confirmed the following; because the cameras are looking right down on the new LED boards around the pitch, the brightness from these boards is affecting the cameras. So Sky Sports have requested for the LED boards to be dimmed as much as possible whilst also dimming their cameras which then makes the broadcast look dark to viewers. I can confirm that it’s not as dark in the ground as it looks on the television screens at home.

Great to have our derby back…attendance great… but my god, the facilities are still dreadful. Queues a mile long, toilets are a disgrace. I do hope they get it sorted though.

Big game at Odsal and no pre-match coverage. Disappointing.

@SteveMascord I have to confess, I’m similar. I even maintain my listening habits by listening at home on vinyl. When I do stumble on a ‘new’ act, it tends to be one that reflects my existing tastes. Too much new music feels over-produced, generic and bland. Maybe I’m just getting old!

Lots of people my age listen to current pop music. I absolutely don’t. I don’t listen to pop radio, I take my own music to the gym and when I drive. I’m not exposed to it.

@bensmithrugby Rugby League is still Rugby. Only through the antipodean lens has League ceded the name 'Rugby' to Union. When English northerners talk about League, they usually just say 'Rugby'. In French it is 'Rugby a XII'. Thus, in the US the code wars do not matter. It is all Rugby!

The NRL is pouring money into Vegas to promote rugby union in the US. Thank you! Vast majority of Americans don’t get why a sport would be split into two versions, and even the “National Rugby League” name doesn’t help. To them, it should be NRLL, but that would just be stupid! This entire circus just promotes rugby on league’s dime.

Thursday flashback 📸 Salford RLFC at New Barnes ( Note the red flag flying high in the background) Salford played at New Barnes; where the current Dock No. 9 is at Salford Quays from 1879-1901. As history shows we then moved to our spiritual home The Willows from 1901-2011.
