Aravind Eye Care System is one of the world’s greatest examples of compassionate capitalism in healthcare. They manufacture nearly 4 million intraocular lenses at a fraction of global costs, treat 5–6 million patients annually, perform over 700,000 surgeries… and nearly 80% of patients receive treatment free. A real life case study happend to us … A female approched us to take policy in jan 2026 we advised her to take elevate according to her age n past medical history .. Added a rider named as jumpstart to cover her diabetes and bp from day 30 …she was not ready to pay extra but we insisted to take this rider … Now today morning because of high bp she got heart attack and entire claim passed of rs 6lkhs … This is why rider is necessary if you have bp and diabetes, as many other disease are interlink with this lifestyle disease .. If she had not taken this rider anything related to bp would be civerd only after 2 years of taking the policy … Choosing right product is good but also choosing right rider will secure you better 360 ways ..

Opposition leaders, including Thol. Thirumavalavan, continue to gloat with delight, claiming that the BJP’s vote share in Tamil Nadu, which was 11% in the 2024 Parliamentary elections, has now fallen to 2%. However, the reality is that statistics vary depending on the situation, place, and context. The Election Commission calculates the overall vote share by taking the total votes secured by each party across all constituencies and arriving at an average. But whether political parties can compute their vote share in the same manner is questionable. When comparing vote shares with parties like the TVK and Naam Tamilar Katchi in the recently concluded Assembly elections, it is incorrect to do so against other parties. This is because only those two parties fielded candidates in all 234 constituencies. Therefore, calculating the average vote share across all 234 seats is the proper method for them. In the 2024 Parliamentary elections, the BJP contested in 23 seats in Tamil Nadu and secured an average of 19.62 % of votes in the seats it contested. That is: • Seats contested by BJP: 23 • Total votes polled: 2,50,59,270 • Votes secured by BJP: 49,18,293. • Vote share: 19.62%. In the 2026 Assembly elections, the BJP contested in 33 seats on the lotus symbol and secured an average of 22.22% votes in the seats it contested. That is: • Seats contested by BJP: 33 • Total votes polled: 66,03,226 • Votes secured by BJP: 14,67,024 • Vote share: 22.22% As per the above data, the BJP has actually gained 2.6% more votes compared to the 2024 Parliamentary elections. As the saying goes, “Statistics differ from case to case.” In political analysis, these must always be viewed in the proper context. The Election Commission records each party’s vote share based on its own requirements, and different stakeholders need different kinds of data. If the BJP had contested in a larger number of seats, the percentage could have varied. Therefore, when parties contest as part of an alliance, one should look at the average vote share only in the seats they actually contested — pointing to an average across all 234 seats is sheer ignorance. Similarly, if a party contests in just one constituency and gets 40% of the votes, it does not mean that party has a 40% vote share across the entire state. These examples clearly show that statistics change and differ according to the context. Now, let us look at the position of those who claim that the BJP cannot gain a foothold here. The two Communist parties together have only 1.3% vote share in the state, and the VCK has 1.1%. It is highly amusing that they still claim the BJP cannot establish itself. It is noteworthy that the DMK, which had 133 MLAs in 2021, has now been reduced to just 59 seats, and its vote share in the seats it contested has fallen from 48% to 24%. The Congress, which had 18 MLAs, now has only five. It is surprising that such parties are criticising the BJP. In reality, the BJP’s vote share in the seats it contested in the 2024 Parliamentary elections has increased. These figures clearly show that the people of Tamil Nadu, who suffered under five years of misrule and authoritarian governance, have completely rejected the DMK and its alliance partners. Narayanan Thirupathy, Chief Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party

@ValueWithPrem ₹1000 in 1975 = roughly ₹90K today (inflation-adjusted). ₹2L today will be worth ~₹22K in 2074. The earning part didn't change — the denominator did.

Can you make a profit on a 15 cent lighter? China can. And it has nothing to do with cheap labour. Shaodong (a city in China) makes just lighters. And billions of them every single year. Here's how: Every supplier is within walking distance: * Mould shop * Logistics Hub * Raw Material So, what takes the West weeks (sampling, modifying, producing) takes China 24 hours. Western founders want 50% margins. China runs on less than 1 cent profit per lighter. And still wins. Because at 100 million units - 1 cent is everything. Lesson: Your margin does not live in your pricing. It lives in your system. The lighter is not the product. It is the proof. Credits: @HarperWood6401

One thing I’ve noticed after dealing with so many insurance cases… People spend years delaying a policy for ₹800–₹1500/month but won’t think twice before spending ₹5,000 on one dinner or ₹40,000 on a phone upgrade. Not judging anyone. Just showing how human psychology works. Because insurance feels useless… Until the day it becomes the only thing standing between your savings and a hospital bill. And the sad part? The day people finally decide “Okay, now I should take insurance seriously…” is usually after: a diagnosis, a surgery, high BP, diabetes, or some abnormal report. That’s when companies start asking questions. More medicals. Higher premiums. Sometimes straight rejection. Then frustration starts: “Insurance companies are scam.” But the truth is… Insurance is built on timing. Not emotions. Not fear after diagnosis. The best policies are given to people who buy early, disclose honestly, and plan before problems arrive. Health insurance is strange. The people who need it most right now often dont quality for a policy! And that’s the reality nobody talks about.

I think Gen-Z having lower IQ than previous generation (as shown by studies) may have to do with lower consumption of Iodized salt. Iodine deficiency is the most preventable cause of intellectual disability. In previous generations, we generally ate iodized salt. But nowadays, that's decreasing thanks to a lot of different fancy salts flooding the market. Pregnant women especially need iodine more than usual for brain development of fetus. But are they getting enough? Are public health agencies of countries still monitoring and ensuring their public are getting enough iodine? Do you still consciously buy and consume iodized salt?

Why Norman Borlaug is the greatest human being who has ever stepped foot on earth in the last 100 years Invents things that saves lives instead of killing people Creates a new variety of Wheat in Mexico which resists all diseases like Rust Orchestrates a masterclass in international collaboration where he crosses his Mexican wheat variant with a Japanese variant to create the new Wolverine of Wheat which grows anywhere. Doesn't patent it and gives it away for free. Distributes his wheat seeds at no cost to both India and Pakistan right in the middle of the 1965 war. Works closely with India and doubles our Wheat output in 5 years In 1974, Ensures the second most populous country at that time became self sufficient in food. The same country which imported weed infested wheat just 10 years prior Then creates a new rice variant by crossing Indian and Japanese variants which doubles productivity Creates a maize variant for Africa, triples its output and saves 10 African countries from Famine. Is out on a field planting crops at 4 AM when he receives the news of his Nobel Prize. Saves a billion people from Starvation Saves entire nations from revolution. Reduces the area required for Cereal cultivation in the world by 66% Awarded USAs highest civilian award and our own Padma Vibhushan. (Should have been given the Bharat Ratna, but I digress) Saved 1/3 rd of Humanity from descending into chaos and madness What he did has been feeding a billion people daily for the last 50 years and will for the next 50. Doesn't it feel awkward that we shower epithets like God, Legend and GOAT on sportsmen and actors, when someone like Norman Borlaug exists
