Every time you use Face ID, your phone runs a tiny neural network. Not in the cloud. On the chip inside your phone. In under a second. It maps 30,000 invisible dots across your face. Builds a 3D model. Checks it against what it learned when you set it up. This would've been a supercomputer problem in 2005. Now it happens while you're half asleep trying to check Twitter at 2am.

What's harder to build in 2026 → A great product → An audience that trusts you enough to buy it

The hottest startup metric in 2024 was revenue per employee. Cursor: ~$100M ARR. 20 people. Midjourney: $200M ARR. 11 people. Perplexity: growing at insane speed. Tiny team. AI doesn't just make products faster. It makes companies smaller. The billion-dollar team of the future might be 8 people and a very good system prompt.
