On this day in history in 2011, brave U.S. forces raided the hideout of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. At 1 a.m., 23 U.S. Navy SEALs in Black Hawk helicopters descended on the compound and killed Osama bin Laden and his adult son. His body was then taken by helicopter to Afghanistan for identification before being thrown into the Arabian Sea.
