For people outside Tamil Nadu, you don't understand the enormity of what happened in the state today. Nobody, not even MGR, at such a short period has got the kind of mandate which Vijay has got. It is very easy to say Tamil Nadu vote for cinema Hereos. Since independence, only two cinema hereos, MGR and Vijay has got this kind of acceptance among people. Legends like Sivaji Ganesan and many others were not able to convert their popularity into votes. Honestly I don't know why people have given such a huge mandate to Vijay. I never knew he had such a support among people. It is a change which is not catching attention. Only two dravidian parties have been ruling Tamil Nadu for last 6 decades. For the first time, a non dravidian party has come to power. Every Chief Minister so far had their roots in dravidian movement. Vijay comes with no political roots. Unlike his predecessors, he was not MLA, MP, Minister, Mayor or anything. He is directly becoming Chief Minister. I understand West Bengal getting all the attention today. But what has happened in Tamil Nadu is unbelievable. Atleast in West Bengal, people saw it coming. Almost no one saw it coming in Tamil Nadu.

@SpiritOfCongres Congress is the main reason for bjp winning in states. Congress doesn't have enough strength to fight bjp, but they are trying weak regional parties which can fight bjp. This way indirectly helping bjp. In telangana present Congress has very good relation with bjp leaders.

People should not forget how KCR tried to prop up the dead BJP in Telangana from 2019 onwards. He attacked BJP (7% vote share) repeatedly and tried to set the narrative that BJP is the main opposition in the state while in reality Congress with 29% Vote share was the principle opposition. KCR gave the BJP the head start in Telangana. It was only because of Revanth Reddy led Congress this plan of KCR didn't work. People of Telangana should remember forever that KCR is reason BJP has gained few seats in Telangana. @revanth_anumula

@tathvamasi6 First bjp should understand who is in power in Telanagana. Looks like everyone feeling brs is still in power, and not a single opposite word against govt. So obviously people feel congress is in power and brs is main opposition. So bjp has to change that perspective first.

@smkumarlakshmi Somehow bjp made a negative impact on TN. May be the language and region level discussions which has come up many times has created some distance. Bjp has to change it's strategy in south and make people feel they are among them.

@SushantBSinha In TN, looks like it's natural to change the power every term. This time it came to TVK. Next term it can be DMK again. But TN is clearly rejecting bjp. South is different, bjp need to understand specific south state needs and come forward with proper plan.
