I’m VOTING NO on the SAVE ACT because it will:
➡️ Require proof of citizenship at poll sites — like a passport or birth certificate — documents millions of Americans don’t carry with them
➡️ Charge Americans up to $130 to obtain paperwork
➡️ Target women whose names don’t match their birth certificates, seniors, military families & rural voters - disenfranchising millions!
➡️ Cost $19 billion nationwide
➡️ Make voting harder on purpose and intimidate those newly naturalized.
That’s not election security - that is voter suppression and an erosion of our democracy.

Sons First date.
Longhorn Steakhouse.
He covered everything.
Food… drinks… atmosphere… the whole night.
Bill hits the table.
He smiles and said,
“You got the tip?”
Silence.
Not joking silence.
Not playful silence.
That 😐 look.
So here’s what happened next…
Nobody tipped.
Not him.
Not her.
And before you react… understand why.
This wasn’t about money.
It was about consideration.
If one person handles the entire experience and the other can’t throw a few dollars toward the waitress… that tells you everything about how they view contribution.
Dating isn’t about who pays.
It’s about reciprocity.
Enjoying everything someone provides but refusing even a small gesture of appreciation isn’t confidence… it’s comfort with imbalance.
And that moment tells you more than months of conversation ever could.
No tip.
No second date.
Lesson learned.
What would YOU have done?

“Can I bring my baby to the interview?”
The message came in at 11 PM:
“Hi, I have an interview with you tomorrow at 2 PM. My childcare fell through. Can I bring my 8-month-old? I understand if you need to reschedule.”
Old me would have rescheduled.
Unprofessional. Distraction. Red flag.
New me replied:
“Absolutely. See you tomorrow.”
She showed up with her baby on her hip.
She apologized three times before even sitting down.
Ten minutes in, the baby started crying.
She tried to soothe him while answering questions.
She apologized again.
I stopped the interview and said:
“Hey. You’re managing a fussy baby, answering complex questions, and staying calm under pressure. That’s literally the job. Handling chaos while staying professional. You’re already proving you can do it.”
Her eyes filled with tears.
We hired her.
She’s been with us for a year now.
The most reliable team member we have.
Why?
Because when you’re used to handling a screaming infant at 3 AM and still showing up to work the next day, workplace stress feels like nothing.
Working parents, especially mothers, are some of the most organized, efficient, and resilient people you’ll ever hire.
Yet we lose them because our hiring processes are built for people with zero caregiving responsibilities.
If your interview process can’t accommodate a parent facing a childcare issue, you’re not filtering for professionalism.
You’re filtering for privilege.

BREAKING: Don Lemon was just arrested by the Trump DOJ. Trump is treading all over Americans’ rights!
STATEMENT FROM ABBE LOWELL,
ATTORNEY FOR DON LEMON:
Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards. Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable. There is no more important time for people like Don to be doing this work.
Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case. This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand. Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court.

@allenanalysis Do you live in a gated community? It is without a doubt for those of us that live in the real world impacting housing.
English

JD Vance claims fewer undocumented immigrants will make housing affordable for Americans.
Here’s the problem: you can’t say immigrants “don’t work” and “live on welfare” and blame them for buying up all the houses.
Pick one, both can't be true.
Contradictions aren’t policy, they’re propaganda.

BREAKING: ICE now appears to be using the LRAD (long range acoustic device) weapon at close range against peaceful protesters in Minneapolis.
People exposed, especially at close range often suffer from:
•permanent hearing loss
•tinnitus (constant ringing)
•ruptured eardrums
•vertigo & balance problems
•migraines & nausea
•panic responses

@ThrillaRilla369 One tragic incident doesn’t change the fact we need ICE. If people would let them do their job none of this would happen.
I legit can’t wrap my head around people fighting to keep illegals here. I would bet none of the people who protest are impacted by mass immigration.

Things that are true at the same time imho:
—The shooting of Alex Pretti was an unjustified tragedy I don’t care what his politics are he is an American with constitutional rights
—Walz is a baffoon using his own citizens as pawns in a game of civil war to distract from fraud and other political problems
—Noem is incompetent and lied about the shooting to spin a false narrative and should be fired and replaced immediately
—ICE needs to level up the professionalism (process, marked uniforms/vehicles, lose the masks) or will lose credibility to do their job
—MN mobs following people around accusing them of being ICE, storming church’s and directly antagonizing ICE agents are wrong
—Trump admin needs to deescalate and chart a path to cooperation with local MN law enforcement the way they are in other states
—Biden admin let 10M+ illegal immigrants in without vetting and now we have a huge mess on our hands and deserve a ton of blame

My mom was stopped and harassed by masked ICE agents while shopping at an outlet mall in Texas. Because she has an accent, they assumed she spoke Spanish and started talking to her in Spanish. When she said she doesn’t speak Spanish, they began demanding where she was “from,” rapidly listing countries without even giving her a chance to respond.
My mom told them she’s been in this country longer than some of them have been alive. She was only allowed to leave after showing a photo of her U.S. passport on her phone.
She is a U.S. citizen. She has lived in this country for 47 years. If you think this is just about “sending criminals back,” you are dead wrong.
