HCC’s joint venture with Aakshya has won a ₹1,662 crore BMC contract for Phase IV of the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project in Mumbai. The project will improve east-west connectivity and help reduce congestion. It includes a 1.33 km second-level flyover, 3.2 km of at-grade roads, 2.62 km of free-left roads, a 2.4 km cloverleaf interchange, 3.6 km of bypasses, and a 180 m cable-stayed span with 270 m ramps.

Work has begun on my 'First Look' at #Monsoon2026. Report will be out in 2 weeks. At this stage, worth pointing out that we haven't seen a 'Bad' Monsoon season in a long time, so we are due for a poor season! Nature balances out always. Based on the analogues I've dug out, in the last 11 yrs, only 2 yrs have been bad performing seasons for West Central India - 2015 infamous for Super #ElNino drought yr and the weak El Nino year of 2023. However, post the drought of 2015, El Nino has not affected us significantly with +IOD often offsetting impact, as the El Nino relationship is weakening in recent years, while #IOD relationships are getting stronger. Let me be clear - this is NOT to say that 2026 will see catastrophic droughts in the country, but the graph seems skewed towards a Below Normal season.

Cutting & trimming of Mangroves for the Mumbai Coastal Road (North) project began today at Charkop, Kandivali. Around 45,000 mangroves will be impacted, of which nearly 9,000 will be permanently removed.
