@IsThisGreen @WSOnlineNews That shouldn't be a problem if appropriate funding follows! If private schools need large tuitions plus gov't $, fund public schools appropriately!

I thought the Coachman Inn was closed. I really did. Instead, the Sask. Party Government is actually overpaying this rundown, bedbug-infested motel to take in vulnerable people who have turned to social services for help. One person staying there yesterday told us they wouldn't wish the conditions inside on their worst enemy. We shouldn't treat people like this. Let me put a finer point on that — we shouldn't have a government that's OK with treating people like this. Every person deserves to live in safety and dignity. Not only is this bad use of taxpayer dollars — it's downright cruel and no way to build a strong province for the future. ctvnews.ca/regina/article…

@Dogger007 @CarlaBeckSK @TrueEager How about we start by reversing the decision to NOT pay landlords directly? The Sask party made The change claiming they want people to self-actualize. Such garbage.

Scott Moe was the last Premier in Canada to respond to the Trump tariffs, and he's sure taken his sweet time responding to the Chinese tariffs too. We've repeatedly called for the Premier to make Saskatchewan’s case directly to Chinese officials along with the federal government, but I can’t help but ask: what took so long? Harvest is already underway.

@just_afellow @CarlaBeckSK Cant speak to other provinces but in SK, the NDP are the fiscally responsible gov't. I take it you've heard of Devine? Walk wasn't a lot better, and Moe? He's gotta go.

@CarlaBeckSK most of that extra spending was through covid... just like all other govt's. You, likely, would've spent even more (NDP tends to do that). So... Are you saying you would've been (& would be) more fiscally responsible?

Get this, even the Fraser Institute thinks Scott Moe is spending way too much of your money and delivering next to nothing in return. That's right, the Fraser Institute. They went so far as to tell Moe to take a page from the playbook of former Saskatchewan NDP Premier Roy Romanow. Even Scott Moe's own friends are sick of his fiscal mismanagement and failures to address the issues that matter most. fraserinstitute.org/commentary/pre…

Did he assault someone? Nope Did he extort someone? Nope Did he threaten someone with violence? Nope Did he steal something? Nope Explain to me like I’m 5 years old why he should get jail time when all of the above offences rarely get prison sentences?
Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms@JCCFCanada

@BethCharron1 @JustinDart82 We could stop subsidizing oil and gas - that’d pay for a lot of healthcare! Don’t reply unless you’re willing to post in your reply the subsidies, o&g profits, and benefits sure to include the subsidies to clean up abandoned oil wells.

Our tanking health care system that does not have enough tax payers to afford the quality of health care we had even decades ago? You think the half of our population actually paying taxes somehow has the additional means to pay for everyone to get a universal basic income? Are we eliminating welfare, disability and child tax credits/all credits in lieu of a base amount per person as tax payers cannot afford what we are already paying

If you’re Canadian, you have to see this. This isn’t just politics — this is real-life stuff. Senator Kim Pate just introduced Bill S-206 — a new push for Basic Income in Canada. This matters if you’ve ever felt stuck, burnt out, or like the system doesn’t see people like you. We already have universal healthcare. Now imagine a future where we also have income stability. Watch what happens next — and don’t let this one slide by. #UBI #Canada #S206 #WorkingClassVoices #FutureOfWork #CDNPoli

@AngetheBrave72 @JustinDart82 Yeah that's true. In my busy period (winter) I am up between 3:30 & 4:30 am and work all day in the cold, averaging 10 -12 hours. No stopping cause it's -40. Why do I want to do that to support some lazy ass that won't get up to go to work? F you and the horse you rode in on

Imagine being born in Canada… Living here your entire life… Your family’s been here for 400+ years—generation after generation. You’ve never known any other country. Then you’re told you can’t enter certain areas… Because only “Indigenous” people are allowed—for over 100 days
