@JFreshHockey @UnionAndBlue I personally think that the stadium series jerseys would be an appropriate pivot in terms of a new uniform and updated identity, but I also agree to an extent with your opinion.
Speaking broadly if they keep the name “Blue Jackets “what sort of logo identity do you have in mind?

@TheUBSoldiers Almost everything about the design choices of this uniform from the color redesign of the cannon, the new secondary logo, the silver chevron sleeve stripping — with the latter two actually resembling civil war union iconography and uniform design — is the best CBJ look for 25 yrs

Outdoor Game Jersey and Third Jersey as the new look for the Blue Jackets.
Really use the Blue Jackets Civil War Theme. Union Soldiers, Cannon, etc……..
I would also like to see a Union Soldier Shoulder patch on Home and Away Jersey.

@herschel0063574 @TheUBSoldiers If you are referring to the logo making sense, in terms the intentional design elements of it, meaning that it’s the opposite of generic? No.
For example the Cincinnati Bengals currently logo makes sense but it’s terribly generic.

The Blue Jackets main logo is based off of an Ohio Calvary Unit Flag used in the Civil War. Fits the Blue Jackets’ Civil War theme. Also is a good way to market yourself as Ohio’s Hickey Team which the Blue Jackets are.

@TheBlueJunkies I was afraid of this. Personally, I love our current jerseys and logo. The Ohio pennant wrapped into a “C” for Columbus around a star signifying the city as the capital of Ohio is an awesome logo. There’s so much subtle representation of our state and city in our current logo!

More like, “These guys, they don’t care— losing is not important enough to them”

So far, theme among #CBJ players - Zach Werenski, Ivan Provorov, and Sean Monahan, with more to come - is that they disagree with coach Rick Bowness’ impassioned “they don’t care” observation. In fairness. Bowness did soften that stance later in his comments.

I totally understand fans do not want to hear it, but when the #CBJ traded for Garland, Waddell was asked about the playoffs and he said “there is a process to it.” He did not say if the team was a playoff team or not only that it is a process.

IMO too many high picks are either busts, not first liners (yet), or bottom 6ers.
The tenured front office (not GMDW and his recent hires) has not demonstrated their decisions are leading to long term competitiveness

@savetore @TheNasher61 The only thing in question is leadership, front office is building a team to be competitive long term, player development is not in question, look at the development of Mateychuk, jet, sillinger, marchenko. The monsters are developing well too.

I’m a fan but I think Oli has forward thinking creative taste and I think they’ll do something cool.

rerecording albums is such an ugly practice that undermines what made the existing album important. CYB by a bunch of late thirtysomethings is going to sound like ass. an ethos-defining album like CYB endures because it was made by irreverent teenagers in 2006.
