in case it wasn't clear, @coinbase is going to MASSIVELY push stable value transfers on @base via USDC this cycle and try to grow it into something which could legit rival the legacy payment processors and it will help provide crypto with a new set of "productive" use cases which are not oriented purely around speculation maybe helping to change its public image completely into something which is "useful' while also bringing new volume to the onchain economy which can tap into Ethereum-based DeFi with those assets via their smart wallet watch this space, and buy $ETH and $COIN 👀

Largely agree with this, with a big caveat Buying a house encourages forced saving into a relatively low risk asset That can be a good counterbalance for people constantly yeeting 100% of their net worth into high risk things If you have self control and can manage your finances well, renting is in many ways better than buying - the flexibility to move while young is absolutely massive If you have terrible self control and any spare money you have goes into ETH which then goes into shitcoins.. maybe putting down a 20-30% deposit on a house and being “forced” to pay a few k per month is not a bad thing

@BillyM2k In the UK it's a mandatory service charge on your bill. Usually 12-18%. Hospitality workers are basically paid around the minimum wage(slightly above) and depending on your role/salary you get a chink of the monthly service charge to make up your actual salary

My thoughts on #UFC300... what are yours? First card I went to live since UFC 207. 1) That Max Holloway moment was one of the most insane things I've ever seen in sports. And his leg was 3D chopped up. 2) Justin Gaethje fought with a broken nose and two poked eyes and got rocked a few times and kept going. Dude is insane. 3) Yan Xiaonan was insane. She got finished twice and still came back and could have possibly won the fight. She seemed confused every time she knocked down Zhang, but a little more aggression and she could have won. 4) Perreira's walk-out music was intense af and seemed to go on forever. 5) The Bo Nickal fight was a total L on all fronts. 6) Jiri felt like he was losing every minute of the first round but somehow kept pushing forward, against all the bullets like he was destined to win. 7) One of the most surprising things to me was that there were more vocal Armenian fans than Brazilian fans at the Oliveira/Tsarukyan fight. 8) How did Zuck become the guest of honor? 9) Bobby Greene / Jim Miller was the fight of the night til that BMF fight.
