@archer_rs It's sad to see alleged adults so easily terrified by very obvious propaganda not backed by any credible science. Oh, and the irony of you riding a motorbike in your profile pick is off the charts 😂 Grow up, do some proper research and stop wetting your bed over fake data.

The level of ignorance here regarding climate change is simply astonishing. This is an existential threat to the human species and yet there are still some saying things like, "It's summer" and "Just a hot day" or "warmer when I was young" Incredible!
RS Archer@archer_rs

Apparently climate change is a myth.

Just saying … Britain hit 32.8°C in May back in BOTH 1922 and 1944. This was long before SUVs, budget airlines and air fryers. Hysteria from the media is not fact ..it’s narrative and fear porn. As you were!

@SliderBurner @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Fair point, l accept most Catholics likely believe in God & are fellow Christians, l'll happily go to a Catholic Church & pray to Christ. However, l don't chase them around claiming exclusivity to God & accuse them of being 'prideful' even tho l think their leadership is corrupt.

@scaleyback246 @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Yeah man, the institution with literal billions of practitioners throughout history oversaw some people who did very bad things. Let’s not send kids to school either, or better yet don’t send them to the doctor. Both of those institutions consist of bad people.

Heard a sermon today about being a Christian at work. Pastor said if you work really hard for your non-Christian boss, eventually your boss might ask, “You always work so hard for me, why do you do it?” And then you can tell your boss about Jesus. No offense, but this is so out of touch with reality it’s insane.

@SliderBurner @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer No, it isn't 'prideful'. A simple study of Catholic history and its actions tell us that this organisation is corrupt at its core. You are supremacists and hypocrites, and calling your hypocritical behaviour out, as evidenced right here, isn't 'ad hominem', it's demonstrably true

@scaleyback246 @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Yes, it is prideful. It’s *your* interpretation and ego that’s preventing you from submitting to the Church’s authority. Also, ad hominem’s don’t justify your position.

Listen carefully, very carefully. This is the most important climate change clip you will ever watch - and only 4mins long. Watch and judge yourself. ABSORB the graph shown. THINK on it. USE your brain. Everything else I will explain over the coming months.

I haven't met any atheists who have a problem with anything Jesus said or did. I've met plenty of atheists who have TONS of problems with things Christians say and do. And honestly? Can't blame them. "The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable." -Brennan Manning Less of us. More of Him.

@metoffice The Met Office, just another bunch of propagandaised liars and shills. You're as embarrassing as the BBC these days. We used to laugh at the antics of the state in the Soviet Union, l never thought we'd have to put up with it, yet here we are.

Today has been the hottest day in May on record with Kew Gardens provisionally reaching 34.8°C - exceeding the previous highest May temperature in the UK by a full 2 degrees Celsius🌡️ This heat would be exceptional in the UK even in mid summer, let alone in May📈

@SliderBurner @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Buddy, you brought your Catholic nonsense here, not me. You can't help yourselves, and you had the audacity to call me 'prideful!', and couldn't even explain why! You are divisive hypocrites, take the plank out of thine own eye..... I can justify everything l say scripturally.

@scaleyback246 @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Keep living up to the Protestant stereotype. Blabbers about sola scriptura, but can’t provide scripture to justify it. Blabbers about Catholic social teaching without accurately representing the position.

@SliderBurner @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer No, Jesus did not appoint a 'Pope'. You are as bad the Pharisees in the Temple, hypocrites causing division. Strawman? Promoting false teachings such homosexuality and paganism? Causing people to stumble? By their fruits ye shall know them.

@writeontheedg3 @SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer It was a sermon, a religious teaching, something he told his disciples to go forth and do after he ascended. This is basic Christian theology. Christ did not have group struggle sessions or make his sermons a free for all. One of the gifts of the spirit is literally a 'Teacher'.

@LionoftheNorth @SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer I don't have the experience & scriptural knowledge of my Pastor, who has been a Pastor for 30 yrs. I wouldn't presume to do a better job than him. I also didn't teach maths at school when l was a pupil. Are you familiar with the gifts of the spirit?

@SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer A church is a gathering of believers, not a building, which is incidental. Trying to turn people away from gathering in a specified place of worship could cause them to stumble. You are also bearing false witness about God's word, the consequences are yours.

weird there were no chapels or churches in the n.t. - but instead Christians gathering in houses over meals in every member functioning gatherings exactly as I have described. You are calling me Satan for describing exactly how Christians gathered in the n.t.? That is a bit weird...

Christ taught through dialogue - that was also how the apostles taught - for example Paul in Acts 20. This was the normative form of teaching in the 1st century. Extended passive monologue has repeatedly been shown to be the least effective form of teaching while active dialogue (which is how Jesus and the apostles taught) among the most effective method of teaching. Biblical gatherings were every member functioning gatherings, not passive events where you sit in a pew and listen to a lengthy monologue. You take this out of the gathering and Christians become perpetual babies - as evidenced by American churchianity.

@SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Your personal generalisations and bias is sinful. You revile the great work of many good people. Without Churches and Chapels as places of worship, for sermons and study, there is no church. Not today Satan.

@SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer No, l do not recognise what you are saying, and do not put words into my mouth either. Sermons are teaching and clearly ARE in scripture, l've given you Christ's own words. A good Chapel has a variety of activities and welcomes participation from all.

SacredCowTipper. Simple Christian.
A lengthy didactic monologue delivered weekly by a professional - that forms the central event of churchianity which everything revolves around - that is what I am criticizing - that is what 99% of churchianity practices every Sunday - you know clearly that is what I am criticizing and trying to move goal posts to try to pretend that this is a debate where you are for teaching and I am against teaching isn't going to fly. You know precisely what I am criticizing, you know the sermon is indeed not in scripture. Why not just gather as the Bible outlines - as the early church did - the way christians gathered when they turned the world upside down?

@SacrdCowTipping @theistinthought @JoeVFarmer Again, what utter rot. The Bible does not specifically condemn paedophilia, but we know it is a sin by other texts. Good Pastors are simply teaching fellow members of Christ's church, and also learn from them at the same time. Your obsession and disingenuity is absurd.

Then you can show a single instance anywhere in the n.t. by imperative or narrative where we are supposed to sit in a pew and listen to a professional deliver a weekly monologue... I already know that does not exist so let's move on. What is in scripture is an every member functioning body where each person is essential, active, and who comes with unique gifts, and we are all expected to gather to build one another up, to encourage one another to love one another in an active participatory gathering (almost always in a house over a meal). My view is in scripture. 1 Corinthians 12-14, Hebrews 10:24-25, the 58 one another commandments repeated over and over and over again all through out the n.t., really the entire book of 1 Corinthians - but the pastor-sermon-pew version of Christian gatherings - that does not exist in scripture. Calling it nonsense won't change scripture.
