@OptimumHelp I wish this was an exaggeration. It is actually as crazy as it sounds. His actual position is when you confirm your identity at the beginning of a call, you give Optimum permission to make whatever changes they want to your account even if you tell them no during said call.

@OptimumHelp My conversations with him have shown me that what Optimum’s conduct here was intentional. He read me back my words back which confirm the withdrawals were unauthorized, but his position was I gave authorization just by engaging in the conversation at all. Truly insane.

@dennismathew_ Your company reinstated my account without my permission and made multiple unauthorized ACH withdrawals from my account. I’ve been repeatedly lied to and gaslighted. Please intervene.

@OptimumHelp He was just as much of a crook as every other person from optimum with the exception of one retention agent i spoke to in the fourth hour of being bounced around and lied to by various departments on Tuesday. That one man, out of the 16 people I spoke to, was lovely.

@OptimumHelp Undoubtedly because the transcripts he found and read to me proved unequivocally that reinstatement of my account and withdrawals from my bank account were not only unauthorized but expressly prohibited.

Okay maybe I’m starting to get a little crazy. @optimum is driving me crazy. I do not want to be one of these people but I cannot sit idly by while optimum lies, cheats and steals. A $750M company getting rich by scamming regular people is just not something I can take lying down

Then they finally did cancel the account and reinstated it based on a call where I said “I’m not paying for it” and “I’m done with optimum”. They’re claiming i authorized reinstatement when I repeated the code texted to me at the start of the convo 🙃

@optimum @ReneeMontgomery @eentertainment @CSuite21 How does one get their Optimum account canceled? Your cancellation team do not cancel, they give you the run-around, then never cancel. I've reported to the FCC and our states AG. I just want out, let me out, I have no contract!?!

Optimum Tv/cable/internet customer service SUCKS. Every time I call I get a new & different story and a different price. @optimum I am so fed up with the LIES the reps tell me. I am looking for a new service. Don't believe anything the reps tell you. You cannot believe them.

@CyberScamAmct I have all the bank withdrawals and bills and in writing dates confirmed by their support. No one can tell me why my account was reinstated, but they all tell me it was and that there is no note that I authorized it.

@scantos Situations like this are usually either hidden billing cycles or something triggered on the backend, but the way they’re handling it doesn’t sound right.
Have you checked the exact transaction description and timestamps?

@AnthonyComett @optimum I have all the bills. I have the dates that were provided to me in writing over chat. Otherwise, it’s what their agents said to me on the phone. The only thing not in writing is the date I called to cancel was September 28 but I have my phone records.

@OptimumHelp Multiple agents admitted that what optimum did to me was ILLEGAL and, still, they refuse to return all the money that was taken out of my bank account without my authorization. They wasted so many hours of my life when they never intended to pay me back what was stolen

@OptimumHelp Over 5 hours later someone in billing told me that they could only return three months of the money they stole out of my bank account because the guy in retention already set back the cancelation date 90 days and no one can change the date. They said I could “write a letter”
