@ozymandiasRicky @C2_Cooper Right, a science that they’ve got down path is what u meant no? Like their core has so much continuity and the things they do on the court they’re rlly experience at
English

@scarswrath @C2_Cooper How? I told you they play it as a science. The same way avg 30 in the nba every night is a science and skill.
English

@ozymandiasRicky @C2_Cooper Yeah your response here is similar others I’ve been reading, Okc is as close to an infallible defense as it gets-that’s my takeaway from the comments
English

@scarswrath @C2_Cooper It’s because okc knows how to play the game. When in the possession to foul. Dont foul as much when the player his in shooting motion, foul a lot and test where and what you can get away with. It’s a science and has been apart of basketball and great defensive teams
English

@Logan_c02 @C2_Cooper It’s half tongue in cheek and half genuine cause I’m a fan of the game and can recognize their ability on that end-the group wide disruptiveness is elite. From watching I just think it’s way too imbalanced
English

@scarswrath @C2_Cooper Like I get this is a tongue in cheek comment, but all of the stats say okc’s defense the past two seasons have been some of the best we’ve ever seen. They know where to be and when to be there, physical contact itself isn’t a foul if they’re in legal guarding position
English

@Jetlife_Ryan_ @FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper I pray we get the Nuggets rematch vs them. Jokic offensive brilliance & flopping vs their legendary defense
English

@scarswrath @FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper Doubt it nobody catches up to legendary defensive units that often especially not in this era
English

@Jetlife_Ryan_ @FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper Well then I hope one day the rest of the league can catch up to their collective defensive brilliance
English

@scarswrath @FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper Yes it’s that simple. OKC is the most defensively sound team in the league and it seems like they are fouling a lot because you watch worse defenders attempt the same intensity and they get called for it
English

@Logan_c02 @C2_Cooper Well then hopefully one day the rest of the league can catch up to their collective defensive brilliance
English

@scarswrath @C2_Cooper I think defense is a skill and their whole team is full of great defenders that play physical while fouling less, and when another team comes in and feels forced to match that physicality, they aren’t skilled enough to do so in a controlled way without fouling more
English

@FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper Their defenders are most definitely top notch. But cmon man, u r a fan of theirs I get that but Dort legitimately be tackling dudes and Caruso reaches n fouls often but get the reputation pass
English

@scarswrath @C2_Cooper I think OKC has superstar level defenders who are very good at little details that often go unnoticed when playing physically. When other teams go to match, most often their feet are late, they're not showing chest, and their arms and hads are in the cookie jar.
English

@FlobbyDaigsnutz @C2_Cooper So it’s a matter of they’re doing it right and other teams aren’t/cant replicate it?
English

@C2_Cooper @scarswrath Other teams try to match the physicality but aren’t as good at it when they try the same thing and get called. And all this is generally moot because OKC were 17th in FTA this yr!
English

@C2_Cooper The idea it’s rigged isn’t an opinion I share either. But some this morning are acting as if the complaints are completely unfounded, it’s funny
English

@scarswrath I definitely think there is a discrepancy between *how* they defend and *how* other teams defend with regard to the terms of engagement and how officials manage interpreting it. I don’t think any of this is scripted, especially in favor of a small market team.
English

@scarswrath It is when your team is full of young athletes. Players need to play to their strengths, rockets strength post-KD was flying down the court, getting steals, running in transition, getting downhill before defenses load up etc. they aren’t suited to play a slower half court pace.
English

No. KD slows offenses down. When they had Jalen Green they were flying up and down the court. Now they gotta wait for KD to get to his spots. Didn’t warriors lead the league in pace and it dropped dramatically when they got KD? Slow iso ball doesn’t win.
John Voita, III@DarthVoita
Suns fucked up the KD/Book era by acquiring Beal. I’ll die on that hill
English

@Nolan787 @anthonyVslater Yeahhh he’s the best option for that job but he’s ruled out the 1st round right?
English

@scarswrath @anthonyVslater Fairs. Pwat selling rn (not that he’s a crazy on ball defender or anything but he’s athletic and forces turnovers)

An all-new Green Goblin rises!

English

@Nolan787 @anthonyVslater I get the point u r making, both teams are fully capable of winning on the road
I just find this particular matchup tricky for Den mainly bc they have no one for Ant
English

@scarswrath @anthonyVslater Yes it is, but in the last 9 playoff GAMES, the home team has only won 3 times. Denver and min both only won once at home in 24’
English

@Nolan787 @anthonyVslater Series win tally is tied between the two teams no? Maybe I’m mistaken
English

@scarswrath @anthonyVslater In the last 9 playoff games between these 2 the home team has won….. 3 times. Denver already off to a better start then 24’
English

@Lakersallthewa3 @nicktharula The Rockets got like 5 lottery picks on their team and coach gets all the blame for them being offensively inept. Like sure, he’s part of the problem but the ‘blue chips’ players can’t perform?
English

@nicktharula Wouldn’t say his great DC. He is great at getting his players to play hard but that is not something sustainable in a Coaching tenure. You need to be good schematically
English

I think we're seeing the real ceiling with Ime—a great defensive coordinator who is overstretched as a head coach
Steven Adams Stats@funakistats
Ime Udoka when asked about the struggling offense, that Reed Sheppard only played 10 minutes, and if he thought about playing him more late in the game to provide shooting… “No, we were guarding well enough… holding them to 101 is good enough, we just didn’t score” Can only see one side of the court. Clearly doesn’t have a game plan to get the best out of Reed… Meanwhile, JJ Redick is making Luke Kennard look like prime Steph Curry and successfully hiding him on D
