Picked up my full cow order. 315 pounds… mostly ground. We don’t care for the round, flat steaks. Stick with ribeye, brisket, sirloin, strip, roasts, etc. Black angus. Grass fed. I’ve been doing this for years now. $4.25 per pound. Full cow nearly fills an entire freezer.

People began to worry when the national debt hit $5T. But - nothing really happened. We moved on. Then we hit $10T, which seemed crazy. Again - nothing. Then $20T, and now $33T. We print more money, as the consequences seem nonexistent. The fed has created the perception of a safety net, thus encouraging more to take on risk, as they assume if things really go south, we would just print more money and all will be well. We have reached a point where investors downplay risk so much that many have lost the ability to measure it. And now, as the narrative shifts to the fed lowering rates, many are eager for the next bull run - completely ignoring that $33T reading. Nothing happened at $10T, or $30T - maybe we can get to $50T, $100T.... We have allowed debt at the personal and national level to seem trivial and insignificant. This account is not about politics - but this is the elephant in the room when it comes to our economy. The can can only be kicked so far down the road.
