@Kotaku That's a bit misleading. It worked out, just not as well as the higher up at Microsoft want. What Xbox and what Microsoft call a success are radically different things. They still have ~30 million subs bringing in ~$400 million a month

Forza Horizon 5's creative director weighed in on the current "reset" at Xbox, calling it unfortunate that Game Pass didn't work out.
"Loads of people are going to lose their jobs," Mike Brown, who now leads Maverick Games, said on the MinnMax podcast. "And that is honestly just a result of a well-meaning player-focused concept of Xbox Game Pass not quite landing. And I think that's just, it's just a real shame."
He also praised Sarah Bond. "These people on Twitter that are going after Sarah, they don't know her," Brown said. "They don't know what she does. They don't know what she does on a day-to-day. They don't see how she operates in that business.

I wasn't aware of Bleszinski's troubles but I'm glad to hear he's sober now and on the path to recovery.
Been teetotal all my life so I can't relate directly to what he's been through, but I've seen how it affects others and how difficult it can be to get out of the cycle ❤️

It'll have more RAM but pretty much everything else will be cheaper, especially the cooling solution, but also it'll have a notably smaller chip. It also won't have the ability to have a disk drive, allowing Sony to use it as a heavier loss leader.

I think the move to all-digital is to kill the used market and make it function as a heavier loss-leader.
I could see them releasing an external drive later on if the cost of hardware comes down.

This is the beginning of the end of the AI luddite movement and it’s long overdue. AI is a generational productivity tool for all fields, and companies whose decisions get co-opted by AI haters will become entirely unviable as competition whizzes by with better products.

@90sPiictures It's only because there's already an incredibly popular and well known anime adaption with a specific art style, and that's what people have associated GITS with since the 1990s. So, it's going to be hard to get used to a new style, even if it's more manga accurate.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are now kidnapping Native grandmothers in Chaparral, New Mexico.
A Native woman pulled into a gas station because she realized she was being followed by a truck. Moments later, ICE agents surrounded her and escorted her to one of their vehicles.
This is a woman whose ancestors lived on this land for thousands of years before the United States even existed.
A Native woman, on her own ancestral land, being treated like a foreigner by the federal government in 2026.
The Fourth Amendment protects people from being unreasonably stopped or detained, and the federal government cannot lawfully target people simply because of their race or ethnicity.
So why did ICE agents stalk and kidnap this woman?
This stopped being about immigration a long time ago.
