@muhkayfabe @RepBrandonGill I’m not using it ironically, I'm distinguishing clinical "best" from casual "good." The point is about appropriate care, not preference. Plus, I think we’re getting stuck on punctuation instead of the actual point.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Quotes like that don’t mean something is clinical. They usually indicate something is being used ironically or metaphorically
English

That’s not really an accurate picture of the law. Saying "41 states have bans" lumps together very different things... some states have total or near-total bans, but many others allow abortion with gestational limits or specific exceptions. That's not the same as an outright ban, and it doesn’t mean access doesn’t exist.
Also, calling it "over" ignores the fact that laws keep changing, courts keep hearing cases, and public opinion is still split. This isn’t settled in the way you’re framing it.
We clearly see the issue differently, but writing off millions of people as "barbaric" doesn’t make your argument stronger, it just shuts down any real discussion.
English

@Doubtin82838371 @LawHerzog @scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Again, 41 of 50 states either have outright bans on abortion or limit them. Only a paltry 9 states have no limitations.
It’s OVER kid. Deal with it. Every rational person knows how barbaric & depraved it is. History will look back on all of you with total disgust & contempt.

Hey folks, I have founded my latest venture.
My creation for the $90bn per annum energy drinks category.
However, it is unlike any other.
It is the ONLY energy drink with 5grams of the ketone “BHB” inside.
The “energy” ketone. (Google BHB)
I also have this ketone patented.
Meaning, while all the sleeping giants in the category have just been caught off guard by the MAC!
They can do nothing about it!
MAC ENERGY IS HERE!
Enjoy, Beverage Forum, California!
That’s how it’s done!
English

@muhkayfabe @RepBrandonGill Because I mean “best” clinically, not casually or celebratorily. The best option is the safest and most appropriate one for the patient. The good is access to care, not the procedure itself as some kind of preference.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Why did you put best in quotes?
It’s almost like you don’t think it’s actually “good”
English

@EmersonLangsta1 @RepBrandonGill I understand that you see it that way, and I’m not trying to be flippant. My analogy was only about the question, not about equating a fetus with cancer. I don’t think people have "favorite" abortions any more than they have "favorite" medical crises.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Nice try to defend the killing of a living human being in the womb. But an idiotic comparison. The cancer patient is alive. Like the fetus.
English

@muhkayfabe @RepBrandonGill I don’t have a preferred method. I think the “best” one is whatever is safest and most appropriate for the patient, based on their circumstances and medical guidance. My support is for access to care, not for ranking procedures.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill which method of abortion do you think is most good?
English

@muhkayfabe @RepBrandonGill I'm not a woman, so I can't answer that.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill I can tell you a method of chemo I prefer. What method of abortion do you prefer?
English

@FLvetAF76 @SteveSkojec @1Saltyspider @RepBrandonGill Brotherrrrs. Let's do a posture check and drink some water. 🖤
English

@SteveSkojec @1Saltyspider @scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Oh I am stupid now?
Honest debate just isn't your thing I guess. Stick to the name calling, it seems to be working for you.
English

@scoomdroll @FLvetAF76 @RepBrandonGill “Autonomy” is literally null and void when some women value casual sex over a human life. Hope this helps 😊
English

@Opposed_Twin @RepBrandonGill It’s like advocating for the right to a lawyer. No one is advocating for people to get arrested, they are advocating for the right to a legal defense if they do. The advocacy is for the protection of a right, not the promotion of the crisis.
English

@scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Fairly certain a cancer advocate isn't advocating *for* cancer the way an abortion advocate advocates for abortion.
English

@_M0L0N_LABE_ @FLvetAF76 @RepBrandonGill A separate body does not have the right to occupy another person's body. That is exactly what bodily autonomy means.
English

@scoomdroll @FLvetAF76 @RepBrandonGill You don’t support bodily autonomy. That baby has its own body and the mother has her own body.
English

@SteveSkojec @FLvetAF76 @1Saltyspider @RepBrandonGill Comparing a piece of real estate to a human uterus is a wild leap. Providing shelter isn't the same as providing biological life support.
English

@FLvetAF76 @1Saltyspider @scoomdroll @RepBrandonGill Your kids don't own your house, are you allowed to murder them if you decide you don't want them?
English

I think a lot of this comes down to how we define personhood. While a fetus is biologically human, there are different views on when that biological life becomes a 'person' with a right to life that outweighs bodily autonomy. Since we see that differently, I think we're just looking at the same situation through two different lenses.
English

@scoomdroll @profswitzer @RepBrandonGill If you truly thought a person should have the right to control what happens to their body you would advocate for fetuses to not be murdered, dismembered, and sucked out of a womb via a vacuum tube.
