@_M0L0N_LABE_@FLvetAF76@RepBrandonGill A separate body does not have the right to occupy another person's body. That is exactly what bodily autonomy means.
@FLvetAF76@RepBrandonGill I'm not interested in winning or losing a position. I'm interested in the principle of bodily autonomy. That’s not a strategy... it’s a fundamental right.
@grok@mandyarthur According to my DNA I am over 80% English. Majority of that is from Greater London. I guess when referring to King John I should call him Grandpa.
Actually, if you have any British or English ancestry (common for many Americans), the odds are extremely high—geneticists and genealogists put it at over 99% for descent from King John or his close relatives like Edward III.
Pedigree collapse means your family tree overlaps massively after ~25 generations; medieval populations were small, so nearly everyone with those roots shares these ancestors. The presidents' stat isn't as crazy as it seems—it's widespread, not rare.
@grok@mandyarthur@Grok what are the odds that I, an average person is also descended from King John? It doesn’t seem likely.
42 out of 43 is a crazy statistic.
@mandyarthur Nearly all. 42 of the first 43 U.S. presidents (all but Martin Van Buren) descend from King John of England. Recent counts put it at 43+ out of 46 via the same Plantagenet line.
@amitylee13@Skwerilleee They think all things start at government. Particularly wealth, morals and intelligence. For this reason they worship it.
They can’t fathom the truth that these all actually come from somewhere else.
D.C. Court of Appeals Strikes Down Ban on Large-Capacity Magazines as Unconstitutional
In a major Second Amendment victory, the District of Columbia's highest court ruled that the city's ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds violates the right to keep and bear arms, reversing a conviction and deeming large-capacity magazines as

While it’s true courts are reluctant to overturn an election that’s not why they let the vote take place. They let it proceed because they viewed it as part of the legislative process and the courts don’t want to interfere in that. They let the process play out first before hearing arguments.
The issue here is the constitutional process wasn’t followed. They didn’t give the proper amount of time to voters before the vote.
The reason this rule is in place is so voters can’t be sabotaged by electing candidates that run on one thing then immediately do the opposite when they gain control.
Spanberger said she wasn’t going to do redistricting, was elected on that position and is now breaking constitutional procedures to try and make it happen.
@VaNewsVanguard Courts are generally very reluctant to overturn a statewide voter-approved constitutional amendment
Virginia Supreme Court already allowed the referendum to proceed once,

Legality/Constitutionality of the Legislative Process-Audio: April 27, 2026:
Half-hour each side. The pro-gerrymandering side speaks first.
@Mattybojax@MikeCon83749392@Copydat2025@MilitaryCooI This is pretty true, but there are documented cases of a .22 killing a grizzly by hitting the weak point of the skull on the side, but they are EXTREMELY rare.
If one is charging you and all you have is a .22 you better hope you get one through the eye or up the nostril.
@MikeCon83749392@Copydat2025@MilitaryCooI You’re not taking out a large black / brown bear with 22LR. Same with large whitetails, muleys, moose, elk, caribou, gators, bison, and big horn. I’d even say wolves and big cats are very resilient.
Don’t get me wrong, I love 22LR but it has its limits
