Investigative journalism existing amid an infinite scroll of takes on this platform has made people think that reporting is basically a karaoke machine. But repeatedly finding information that people with money don't want the public to know can require months and months of work

@PabloTorre The true legwork is on the front end; once you identify a list of possible lawsuits that may contain pertinent information, the rest is just PACER or the state/local online database and at worst sending someone down to a courthouse to retrieve public documents. Is this right?

@PabloTorre I’m a fan of PTFO and hope y’all keep up the good work. I do feel like you at times overhype the significance of discovering documents that are in the public record (mostly civil lawsuits) and the resources/time needed for that piece of the investigation.
