I've never read past the first line of one of these things. But if you've made it this far well done.

I was on my boat late last night & thought I heard a scrabbling noise coming from outside. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye & looked up to see a fox had come through my open boat hatch & was climbing into my bed!
It didn’t flinch or run away when I turned to it & instead slowly sussed me out & gently sauntered back off the boat. It feels like the longer I live in nature, the more comfortable all creatures become with me and my presence.

Police Dogs Track Down Six Suspects in One Night Across the West Midlands
PD Ugo, PD Hail and PD Maggie hailed as heroes after chasing down burglars and car thieves in Coventry, West Bromwich and Birmingham
West Midlands Police have praised the “pawsome” efforts of their canine crimefighters after police dogs helped detain six suspects in a busy overnight shift.
In a string of incidents across the region, PD Ugo, PD Hail and PD Maggie worked alongside their handlers and frontline officers to arrest a suspected burglar and five suspected car thieves.
The action began in Coventry, where PD Ugo and his handler Sergeant Simpson joined a pursuit after a car failed to stop for traffic officers. The vehicle was abandoned on Bedford Road and both the driver and passenger made a run for it — but not fast enough. PD Ugo tracked them down, leading to the arrest of two men, aged 23 and 18, on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
Over in West Bromwich, PD Hail and PC Evans were called in after another suspected stolen car refused to stop and was abandoned on Essex Avenue. Three people fled through nearby gardens, but one was sniffed out hiding in a garden by PD Hail, with the other two found shortly after. Two men, aged 22 and 19, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
Meanwhile, in Birmingham, PD Maggie was helping officers search for a burglar who had broken into a phone shop in Acocks Green. After a sweep of the building, Maggie’s keen nose led officers straight to the suspect, a 23-year-old man who was promptly arrested on suspicion of burglary.
All six suspects remain in police custody.
Inspector Leanne Chapman from the Dog Unit said: “Our police dogs and their handlers assist many of our other units each day to catch suspects. They often work alongside traffic cops, response officers and firearms officers and really are a credit to the force. Ugo, Hail and Maggie have worked hard overnight and have helped protect the public. We couldn’t do this job without them.”

@but_cyclists Every time a cyclist snaps their spandex pants a fully insured and responsible driver suddenly becomes uninsured and forgets how to drive!
