Why are ReachCreator links more expensive when they aren't ones you can get in a marketplace: Because they're not in a marketplace. Why can we get some marketplace sites so much cheaper? Because we do actual work and negotiate. I will return to non-sales posting shortly.

@asaio87 i'd say more like 90% but that difference can == many hours of your time telling it what it did wrong so... there's always that.

Are we at the point where local AI models are 97% as good as the Claude Code $200 plan?

‼️🚨 ALARMING: Google now treats privacy as suspicious behavior by default. Users of GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, /e/OS, and other deGoogled Android phones are being locked out of millions of websites unless they install the exact Google Play Services software they deliberately removed. GrapheneOS is recommended by the EFF and used by journalists, lawyers, and activists in high-risk environments. The audience most likely to read Google's data practices and refuse its terms is now flagged as fraudulent for that exact decision. What happened?: ▪️ Google announced "Cloud Fraud Defense" at Cloud Next on April 22-23, 2026, branding it "the next evolution of reCAPTCHA." Existing reCAPTCHA customers were auto-migrated. ▪️ When the system flags traffic as suspicious, the old click-the-bus puzzle is gone. Users get a QR code instead. ▪️ Scanning the QR code requires Google Play Services running on the device. Internet Archive snapshots show this requirement has been live since at least October 2025, silently rolled out for 7 months before anyone noticed. ▪️ No Play Services = no QR scan = locked out. The bigger picture: ▪️ Google already tried this in 2023. It was called Web Environment Integrity (WEI), and it would have let Google decide which devices were "real enough" to access the web. Standards bodies and the public pushed back hard, and Google killed it. Three years later, the same idea is back, just hidden behind a QR code instead of a browser feature. ▪️ reCAPTCHA runs on millions of websites. Every developer who keeps using it is now, by default, telling deGoogled Android users they're not welcome...

Normalize calling AI regulation what it actually is: anti-AI regulation. Because most of it isn’t about making AI safer. It’s about slowing it down, raising barriers to entry, and protecting incumbents from competition.

It's frustrating to tell a client every 2 months you need videos for Meta, for 5 years on... Only to have them listen to someone that doesn't do paid ads tell them they need videos for Meta. And then client does backflips for this other person immediately and makes videos for Meta and then high fives them and gives them props when Meta blows it out of the water on performance, like you said it would for 5 years and dozens of times prior but no one wanted to listen to you.

a generation ago this idea was called 'business process re-engineering' and we also had the 'strategy from the ground up' phase. it turns out just having people you know will ask what the status is on something stops companies going totally off the rails once they get a certain size...

Serious question. We have an entire corporate class making $150k a year whose only actual job is to sit in meetings and ask "what is the status on this?" But if one guy with Claude can now finish a 2-week project in an afternoon... Why haven't companies laid off the entire middle layer yet?

Don't you hate it when, after 3 days of prompting you have a bug that AI cannot solve ? It spins and spins, but makes it worse. And you have to code manually like the old days. What do you do if you are a vibecoder, I don't know...

That's a shame but I guess given that I once managed to fine tune the old 3.5-turbo to do a particular task better than many models that came afterwards, we probably can all have a lot of fun fine tuning some open models now instead :D. having an easy way to do it on openai was super nice though so this is def a shame.

OpenAI has announced they will be winding down fine tuning. I got the email today. Existing active @OpenAI customers can keep running fine-tuning jobs until January 6, 2027, but after that no new training jobs can be created. Existing fine-tuned models will still run, but only until the underlying base model is eventually deprecated. I get the argument that newer models follow instructions much better, and that prompts plus RAG cover more use cases than before. But not all of them.

15. Vuelve a fallar. 16. Solicitas esos logs. 17. 35. Renuncias.
