I can’t put into words how amazing the past two weeks in America have been. Life changing. I need to work some things out but I need to make sure I can spend more time here. Truly, life changing. Thank you all 🇺🇸

Amazing V14.3.4 clip that @jtesla47 just sent me and asked me to share from his M3P. What I love most about this clip is that FSD understands what needs to happen and reacts BEFORE the lead car even throws it in reverse. This is such a critical indicator that FSD isn’t just reacting to objects in its path, but actually understands what happens next before it even needs to start backing up to clear the dodge ram. This is one of my favorite edge cases in a minute. FSD IS THE TRUTH

@HIExpress I need help asap, and unlike your customer service, I need your help. My nephew got married and drove from Tennessee to Hilton Head after booking your hotel on Tanglewood Dr. Now they are being turned away because they are not 21. Honeymoon, turned away, that’s not cool. $700 rudely told by your staff they couldn’t stay there. Second IHG screw up for this family in two weeks.

@japan_nobunaga I was told here in the south by the younger generation, and from watching in restaurants, it may be true, “the camera eats first”

USA. A breakfast counter. The waitress recommended the biscuits and gravy, and when the plate arrived, I thought something had gone wrong in the kitchen. I say this with shame. The dish looked like a construction site after rain. Pale mounds. Gray ladle-fall. Speckles I could not identify. In my land, the eye eats first. A meal is arranged like a garden. This meal was arranged like weather. "Is it… finished?" I asked, carefully. "Honey, that's what it looks like." The man beside me was already eating his. He did not look up. "Just try it." I am a man who has charged hillsides at dawn. I raised the fork. I tried it. I must now formally apologize to the biscuits, the gravy, the waitress, the kitchen, and the entire breakfast tradition of the American South. It was magnificent. Warm. Peppered. The biscuit drank the gravy the way a field drinks rain — THAT is why it is shaped like that, you fool — and every mound I had insulted was a soft fold of comfort that my homeland, in eight hundred years, never once thought to invent. "Well?" the waitress asked. "I judged it," I confessed. "By its appearance. I am ashamed." "Everybody does, hon." Everybody does. A national dish that forgives you for doubting it. It expects the doubt. It waits for you on the other side of it. Do not judge the gravy by its face. Judge yourself, for hesitating. I order it every Saturday now. I no longer see the construction site. I see only the garden. It was a garden the whole time. The eye must be trained.

@tiredoldwoman2 I shall try to walk among them. Blend in even. Learn their customs, their migratory patterns, their songs. They are so very foreign, and yet, it's like I've known them my entire life. There is still much of them to understand. Things unspoken in the histories.

It must have been a bad two weeks for @AmericanAir! Left charlotte two weeks ago and that flight was delayed 4 hours, “mechanical issue”, later on board waiting to leave we were delayed again because maintenance finally showed to work on the mechanical issue. A sign saying dont use the toilet below 16000 feet. Two flights home from Dublin cancelled creating hundreds of $ of lost money because or other flights that we couldn’t or didnt need to take. Maintenance issue, they AA app showed the plane had been there for hours before we were to board but at boarding time we were told of the delay. The cancelled flights from Dublin to CLT, just a few hours before boarding were told they are cancelled, making for a 17 hour day of airplanes and airports instead of maybe 7 direct.

@Riley_Gaines_ Wait! You mean they can do it and get away with it in public in front of a playground but it can’t be shown on social media? Hmmm

@AmericanAir what’s going on here? Your app showed the aircraft arrived at 2:00pm May 23, but, at 1 minute before our flight, 724, from Charlotte to Dublin, we are told there are mechanical issues. Then five minutes later, 1 hour delay, then 1 hour later, 1 hour delay. Then we get on the plane and maintenance shows up to look at the lavs and then the pilot decides to leave anyway with a 16000 for restriction. Now, 2.5 hours later we sit on the tarmac waiting to park We have another flight to catch that boards in one our and still have to get bags.

Interesting- The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance put out a statement expressing disappointment in last night's vote but also claimed "NCDOT retains the authority to move this project forward." I've reached out to NCDOT and CRBA: "Last night’s vote by CRTPO to rescind support for the I-77 South expansion is deeply disappointing – and shortsighted as the full consequences of the decision are not understood. Coming on the heels of Charlotte City Council's narrow six to five vote earlier this month, two regional bodies have turned their backs on a project that they have been planning for two decades, backed by data, and critical to the economic future of this region. What is at stake is significant. CRTPO's withdrawal sends a damaging signal to NCDOT that regional consensus has collapsed. While NCDOT retains the authority to move this project forward, political opposition of this magnitude puts the June RFP release, and with it, $700 million in state investment, in real jeopardy. If that RFP does not go out, this project does not get built. And if this project does not get built, the consequences for commuters, employers, freight movement, and regional competitiveness will be felt for generations. The CLT Alliance continues to support this project, which was still receiving public input to solve community concerns in the corridor. NCDOT has been listening and had a genuine desire to continue to work on improving the project, which was only 15% designed, to meet our community’s needs. I-77 South is critical to Charlotte, the region, and the entire State as a key economic corridor. The CLT Alliance supports visionary ideas that move this region forward. All residents and businesses have a shared stake in the success of our region, and we must keep working collaboratively on solutions.

@JoeBrunoWSOC9 Why does every addition these days have to be toll lanes??? Other states are widening roads and they aren’t tolls. Why do we allow others to use our land to make them money??

@AppalachianPro1 A table book of old abandoned Appalachian homesteads and houses would be awesome. We’ve got some neat ones in PA, too. Actually fulfilled a lifelong dream buying an abandoned old house last year. Put a red tin roof on her last month and it matches the place in this video 😁
