We honor millions of innocent victims of the 1932-1933 Holodomor – Stalin’s artificial famine and genocide against the Ukrainian people. Today, as Ukraine resists yet another Russian attempt to erase our statehood and national identity, remembering the horrible crime of Holodomor is crucial to preserve historical truth, fortify our resistance and ensure that such atrocities are never repeated. Russia is also using food as a weapon by attacking international humanitarian food convoys, destroying Ukraine’s agricultural potential, targeting our storage facilities, striking ports, and blocking freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. Yet, Ukraine remains a reliable guarantor of global food security, feeding millions worldwide. We thank our partners who have recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people and call on others to follow suit and restore historical justice.

Great diplomatic win. Ukraine has just been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for 2025–2029–with the highest vote count among all candidates: 137. There were four candidates for three seats: Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, and Russia. Together with our Romanian and Moldovan friends we got elected, while Russia failed. I congratulate our Odesa Triangle colleagues 🇲🇩@MihaiPopsoi 🇷🇴 @oana_toiu. Russia failed to be elected for the second consecutive time—despite its enormous efforts. This is the right decision—aggressor that undermines all norms of international law has no place in such important bodies. I am grateful to @Mariana_Betsa, @sdvorn, the entire @MFA_Ukraine team, and all Ukraine’s embassies and ambassadors who ensured such a great result. This decision demonstrates the international community's high trust and recognition of Ukraine's active role in strengthening UNESCO, developing education, science, culture, and protecting cultural heritage, even amid ongoing Russian aggression. Membership in the UNESCO Executive Board opens new opportunities for: ✅ strengthening international cooperation in education and science; ✅ protecting Ukraine’s cultural heritage suffering from Russian aggression; ✅ promoting our initiatives at the global level. This means that Ukraine’s voice will be heard even louder—where decisions are made about preserving history, supporting education, and developing humanitarian values. At the time when the enemy seeks to destroy our identity, we are not only defending what belongs to us but also helping to shape the future of the international cultural community. We are grateful to the Member States who supported our candidacy for their trust and express our readiness for fruitful cooperation in the name of peace, development, and mutual understanding.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський@ZelenskyyUa

Today, Ukraine has been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for 2025–2029 with the highest vote count. Together with Romania and Moldova, we outstripped Russia—for the second time in a row Moscow lost the elections and remains excluded from the Board. Thank you to the member states that supported our candidacy. Alongside our partners, we will use every opportunity UNESCO provides to restore life, defend our culture, heritage, and people. We will make sure that all forms of Russian aggression, be it war or hybrid threats, are well-countered. There is no alternative to peace. Itʼs time Moscow learned that.

Being in a UNSC meeting on Ukraine six months after I left NYC, and in my new capacity is a trigger for a variety of reflections. @Svyrydenko_Y did an outstanding job to connect the members of the Council with realities of today’s Ukraine. The effect may not last long as UNSC and UN keep sinking to the bottom of relevance in the ocean of global crisis, suffering from Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Middle East, structural problems and the lack of prospects for serious reforms. Being back in Ukraine and engaged in real diplomacy, looking at the world, partners, and institutions, from inside Ukraine next to the people of this brave nation appears to be what I appreciate personally and professionally. I thank Armed Forces of Ukraine, @ZelenskyyUa @Svyrydenko_Y @AndriyYermak @andrii_sybiha and all my colleagues @MFA_Ukraine for this opportunity. Photo credit #LevRadin

“The road to peace cannot be paved with appeasement. Neither can peace be achieved through ambiguous compromises with Ukraine’s sovereignty, national identity or territorial integrity. Salami slicing Ukraine is exactly what appeasement means. More properly to be called apiecement. Piece by piece,” - @SergiyKyslytsya at the opening session of the @OSCE Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna facebook.com/share/19XFKRag…

Politkovskaya, Litvinenko, Magnitsky, Nemtsov, Navalny are only some of the most well-known names on the long list of critics killed by Putin. There was outrage after each murder, but Putin eventually got away with it, and world leaders shook his hand again. This encouraged him to continue killing people. Today, some voices continue to call for Putin to be heard and negotiated with. It is time to end the naiveté. Before any meaningful engagement with Moscow can begin, Russia must be defeated in Ukraine and Putin must finally learn a lesson.

Повний же текст виступи України мовою іспанського 🇪🇸 головування в ЄС 🇪🇺 за посиланням 👉 📸 Look at this post on Facebook facebook.com/share/kBQ1P9Pu…

Moscow repeatedly violated Olympic Truce in modern history of the Games. 2008 – invaded Georgia. 2014 – invaded Ukrainian Crimea, Donetsk & Luhansk regions. 2022 - launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Today in UNGA Moscow doesn’t even pretend it will respect Olympic Truce

In today's #vatniksoup, I'll introduce a Russian political scientist and head of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, Sergey Karaganov. He's best-known for his imperialistic policies since the early 1990's, and for calling the destruction of the West and of Ukraine. 1/ 21

While at @UN Security Council most of members condemn illegal sham election in RU-occupied territories of #Ukraine, local Ukrainians there bravely demonstrate their attitude towards this mockery of "election": "Waiting for AFU", "Glory to Ukraine" & other wishes in RU "papers".
