@Jellenne @nikitabier @AngelaBelcamino I don't think they are punishing actual "re-posts" or retweets. Just trying to cut down on copy and paste posts that don't credit the original poster. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That's my take anyway.

@nikitabier @AngelaBelcamino Very glad to see these improvements. I'm still wondering however why my analytics changed so dramatically a few months ago. I repost other's content quite a bit particularly if they're smaller accounts, is that something that is hurting my account?

Dom Lucre said he posted 100 times in a week. Now that the money’s gone, so are the stolen clips every 15 minutes. Funny how fast “content creators” disappear when the $ do. Imagine if monetization disappeared entirely—this platform would look very different overnight.

@bennyjohnson The idea that the sitting President is getting outsmarted by an intelligence apparatus… but “trust me bro” podcasters have cracked the code… is one of the most juvenile conclusions you can arrive at.

Most peculiar among this group is Alex Jones. I have been extremely politically involved going back to the mid-90s when I was a teenager, and while there were many media voices that were aligned with the populist conservative/paleo con/JBS/Buchananite/America First movement (Rush Limbaugh comes to mind), Alex Jones was never among them. And despite being politically attuned, I had never even heard of the guy until a cousin of mine who had gotten way to into him mentioned him to me. So I took a look. I could find no discernable ideology or belief system. No attempt to advance an agenda or motivate people to do anything (other than buy Vitamins). Even in 2016, when I saw he had paid for some promotional bus to drive around the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, there just wasn't anything there with him. And that still hasn't changed.

There’s a mom at our school drop-off. Messy bun, always three minutes late, kids usually eating dry cereal out of a Ziploc. The "Pinterest moms" always whispered about her. I honestly felt a little bad for her. Then one day at the playground, my neurodivergent son had a massive, violent sensory meltdown. I’m sitting in the dirt, crying, totally paralyzed. The "perfect" moms just stared and pulled their kids away. Suddenly, she’s there. The messy mom. She drops her giant bag, sits right in the dirt next to us, pulls a heavy sensory toy out of her purse, and calmly shields my son from the crowd. No panic. No judgment. He regulated in three minutes. I was speechless. We had coffee after. She told me her house is a disaster and she has severe ADHD, but she knows exactly what a nervous system collapse looks like. I asked her how she deals with the judgmental stares from the other moms. She took a sip of her cold coffee and said: "Perfect moms know how to bake organic muffins. Chaotic moms know how to survive the trenches." Every time I see her running late now, I just smile. Girls, be like the messy mom. Stop apologizing for your chaos.

The biggest question isn’t what ActBlue did. It’s this: Why the hell did the New York Times just drop this deeply sourced nuke on their own golden goose RIGHT NOW? This wasn’t some rushed, half-assed hack job. It’s a cold-blooded, document-heavy slaughter packed with: Legal memos screaming “criminal” Internal Slack messages Resignation letters Direct interviews with insiders. No wiggle room. No denials. No escape hatch. The same media machine that’s spent years running cover for Democrats just torched their most vital financial engine... right before the midterms. Exactly when their money is already bleeding out. And perfectly synced as Trump’s DOJ wrecking crew steps into power. Democrats aren’t “confident.” They’re staring straight into a triple-threat apocalypse: funding collapse, criminal exposure, and a ticking clock all smashing them at once. (article below)

In the early 2000's, mothers didn't choose a plastic bottle nipple based on which one would be easiest for baby to suckle. We tried out multiple types to see which one baby liked best. All babies were different. But we weren't taught to consider how it might affect their facial muscles.

If something is invented to make life easier, there’s almost always a cost that shows up later. Convenience solves one problem and quietly creates another. “Work smarter, not harder” sounds good. But it’s the hard work, done daily, that makes you smarter and evolves you and those around you.

Long nipple baby bottles and pacifiers are the main cause. Babies can start on chewable foods at 6 months. But lazy parents never do it because it requires constant monitoring and attention, and most adults are already depleted. A baby is meant to reach and latch onto a short nipple. Not have one sitting on the back of their tongue. That reaching motion helps the baby build muscles and develop the jaw properly. A long nipple baby bottle makes sucking too easy, which trains the muscles in the wrong direction.

A neighbor of mine posted on a local social media page that his mailbox was hit by a van full of what were clearly cleaning ladies. The impact shattered the back window of the van, damaging his mailbox and leaving glass inside the box and all over his sidewalk, yard and driveway. They drove away without leaving a note, and the only way my neighbor knew what had happened was because of his ring cam. He posted a photo asking if anyone knew who they were so he could seek restitution. Almost every comment on his post was from someone shaming *him* for trying to find the people who damaged his property, saying they are likely undocumented immigrants who were poor and scared, calling him privileged and saying he needs to get over his busted mailbox and glass-filled driveway and “think of others.” In case y’all were wondering about the absolute insanity we’re dealing with in deep blue northern Virginia.

Trump said it'll be another 2-3 weeks for the Iran war. Today was day 32, so 4.5 weeks. We were told it was going to be 4-6 weeks, and the white house said last week they're "ahead of schedule". So "ahead of schedule" was not true, and best case is now past the original timeline.

Putting aside headaches for the court by way of security, I haven't really heard a compelling argument for why the sitting president shouldn't attend oral arguments in a case concerning one of his key policies, assuming he has the time to do so. If anything, the image of the leader of the world's most powerful country listening (hopefully not glowering) as judges exercise their (theoretically) independent legal review of his action strikes me as a pretty remarkable visual of the constitutional separation of powers. This happens all the time for lower level officials. Fed Chair Jerome Powell was in attendance for the Lisa Cook case. Bessent/Lutnick attended tariffs. And Biden/Obama officials before them.

@dieworkwear The UK has designated silversmithing as, I believe they called it, a red flagged craft. That is, to state, the expertise is in danger of becoming extinct. Sounds depressingly familiar to the state of fine tailoring.

The slow death of formal dining and the lack of free time to polish the silver means there’s a glut of formal tableware on the second‑hand market going for a fraction of original retail prices. The craftsmanship is often amazing, but the aesthetics often don’t suit modern homes

@PinkPanther111 @dieworkwear It also dissolves silver plate over time. It removes desirable oxidation in crevices on ornate patterns. And it really doesn’t work that well. A quality silver polish and a soft cloth works best. It really isn’t difficult.

@dieworkwear Polishing sterling silver is much easier these days! Put it in a basin with aluminum foil, salt, baking soda, and boiling water, and it comes out shiny, no rubbing. Also if you use it every day and put it in the dishwasher it won't tarnish.
