@imkialikethecar I think it has contributed to the high pace of dealmaking we're all seeing. Our pace has never been higher despite a slow start last spring. Without travel and the time to schedule in-person meetings, deals are moving at lightning pace. We'll see how it turns out..

@benedictevans What's also interesting about the 2006-2008 era of YouTube - mediaco legal team would threaten to force video takedown...20 minutes later the marketing team from the same mediaco would call to ask how they could get broader exposure on the platform.

The summary from @benedictevans is about right! One data point missing - SNL digital short Lazy Sunday came out not long after YT walked from our offer and YT usage exploded over the summer of '06. It was a different deal by the fall.
