I want to remember some of my own thoughts on what training might look like for this second hour change: For bishoprics, respect the second hour. When preparing sacrament meetings you now, maybe, only need two speakers, and the member of the bishopric conducting can fill time at the end with a brief testimony as needed. Don't go severely over. For teachers, start on time. Don't wait for people to "fill in" the available chairs, or have "enough people" to begin. Start. The awkward, sheepishly-late people will learn quickly that the lesson will begin without them. For members, focus and respect the two hours of church. From the first hymn in sacrament to the last prayer in RS, EQ or YW/YM, use the time wisely and effectively to learn together. Socializing can be done before church, or after church, but should be kept to a minimum during the Sacrament meeting and during the lessons in second hour. NOTE: In no way am I saying I'm going to be perfect at this. I'm an extremely social person by nature. It's gonna be hard for me. I look forward to this change, though!

What’s something that happened to you that made you realize that God was aware of you in that moment? Once as a young Dad, I was without a job for a period. My wife and I had saved for a rainy day and were stretching our money as much as we could. One day we just couldn’t handle it any longer. We found enough spare change around the house to go to Arby’s and split a single meal (using a coupon of course) for my wife, my 2 year old, and myself. As we sat around the table, dividing the meal and talking in low voices about how grateful we were to get out of the house, a man sitting nearby threw away his trash and handed me a $20, saying “Buy the kid an ice cream. I’ve been where you are now, and it’ll all work out.” In that one moment, I knew God knew who I was, that He knew I was at Arby’s (of all places), and He had dispatched an angel to remind me that He had good things ahead for my family.

Just go back to 3 hour church or shorten sacrament meeting if you want to meet each class/quorum each week… 25 minutes isn’t enough to have a real meaningful lesson in either class.

I am undecided about whether or not I like the change, however, if you think about it, you're covering the exact same amount of material. Because right now you're supposed to cover 2 weeks of Come Follow Me in 50 minutes

It’s the little things that can make the big difference. The short story is that a woman was walking our street wailing around midnight the other day. I got in my car to find her and stopped and chatted with her for a minute. I ended up telling her if she needed anything to come find me, and that she was loved. She stopped by my house today and left these with my wife saying, “you married a good man.” I certainly won’t take credit, and I give the glory to my Savior, but it felt so great to receive these today. #SaintsOnX
