Today I was released from the oncologists care. They are happy that all existing lumps are benign. Very few people with Leiomyosarcoma survive & I've made it to 5 years clear. I'm celebrating in the most appropriate way, with @Greenhalghs butter pie and a Scooby Doo gingerbread.

First Group is applying to run open access rail services from Rochdale to London Euston, calling at Manchester Victoria, Eccles, Newton-le-Willows and Warrington Bank Quay using new battery electric trains. Says it wants to use its Lumo brand which runs Edinburgh-London trains.

I must say I really enjoyed the first series of Shardlake - I hope they make more. A pretty decent adaptation of the CJ Sansom novel.

@WilliamBarter1 @SouthEastRailGp @MarkJona4405 If we had a joined-up transport strategy, the remaining 12tph through Crossrail would have run from the WCML (wasn’t this the ‘Superlink’ concept?) freeing up existing platforms at Euston currently used by suburban trains for HS2. Which is what Paris RER did at Gare du Nord,etc.
