I am truly stunned by the RELIGIOUS field trips this Muslim Student Association IS allowed to take DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. YOU the taxpayer, are PAYING for children to go to: *An Islamic midday prayer *Tour and “presentation” from (the mosque?) Islam IN SPANISH Now you might be saying “well, it’s all voluntary” and “kids could only go if their parents signed the form” and “this is a club event”… That’s all true. But… Just like the other field trips where the kids went to a religious center AND KEMAH (and what kid would NOT want to skip school for the day to go to Kemah and go on rides), this trip involved a food truck (Halal of course) and a stop to try Arabic desserts. And that also sounds more fun than going to class all day. So do you see what they are doing here? They are enticing your kids to attend their religious (and political) proselytizing events by making them “fun”, and they are doing it DURING THE SCHOOL DAY USING YOUR TAX DOLLARS. You might argue with me that Christian groups do this too. If so, let’s see those flyers and events.
