@KorfgenThomas @AussenMinDE @HakanFidan Hakan would have to tell that to Johann. I don’t think Turkey should increase cooperation with a genocidal state like Germany.

If I attacked people who were just killed in a synagogue, my company would be torn down in one day. But you'll see, nothing will help to Loomer. Because the people in power secretly agree with her and they love that she makes people hate Muslims. It helps their beloved Israel.

If someone had said this about Jewish Americans after they were murdered, obvioulsy no one in politics or media would ever touch them again. She also said, "I’m going to make sure the entire world is anti-Islam. I hate Islam. And I always will." There will be no political consequences because there are different rules for people who support Israel. They are allowed to be bigoted towards Muslims. Our media aids and abets that kind of hatred every day. @nytimes just wrote a very positive piece about Loomer, where they never even mentioned her bigotry against Muslims. Because if you support Israel, you get special privileges, including slandering innocent dead Americans. I guarantee you this will not get 1% of the coverage of @hasanthehun's comments. Because our media has different rules for Muslims, who they generally detest and smear. They're just a more sophisticated version of Laura Loomer.

I refuse to have sympathy for Islamic terrorists. Screw these people who train Islamic terrorists to murder Americans on US soil. I’m not going to send my condolences. This is the result of Islamic immigration and we need to get some serious mass deportations of Muslims ASAP.

I do know leftists who would vote for Tucker. I don’t feel that way, but burying your head in the sand won’t stop Tucker from becoming president. And yes, anyone who defends AOC after her “tirelessly fighting” comment has no credibility as an advocate for Palestine. She can apologize at anytime and has thus far chosen not to.
John Kane@Tortured_Verse

@SanaSaeed Briahna claims she knows leftists who would rather vote for Tucker than AOC, that they would rather vote for the Great Replacement Theory guy who claims he was attacked by a demon than AOC. @briebriejoy can't endorse AOC over Tucker because that would ruin her reputation.

@PravdaAmerican @scotthortonshow Have you lost your mind? What “career” are you talking about? Finkelstein is perhaps the most “cancelled” academic who’s ever talked about this subject. He’s never had a real job precisely because of his stance on Israel. Of course you can criticise him, but be fair.

@scotthortonshow Norman’s ONLY usefulness and the reason he has a career is because he can say things about Jewish behavior & Jewish power that we’d be forever canceled for saying. He literally enjoys the Jewish power & privilegie that he built his entire career criticizing. Fuck him

I click on this thing about Norman Finklestein complaining that it's "dangerous" for Tucker and Candace to stick up for the Palestinians. But it begins with a clip of Finklestein defending Hamas's targeting of civilians. Building consensus is hard. youtube.com/watch?v=BtTDUe…

Bu notu düşme ihtiyacı duyduğunuza göre epey "duymuş" olmalısınız - bilhassa da Birleşik Krallık'ta örneğin siyasetin üst kademelerinde bulunan kimselerin ciddi bölümünün Oxford/Cambridge mezunu olduğunu düşünürsek.

Bir dilde aşırı ilerleyince başa dönülüyor. İlerledikçe, Türk mantığıyla yazıldığını sandığın şeylerin aslında has İngilizce olduğunu görüyorsun.

No smoking gun, but the preponderance of evidence points to smartphones, not economics, as the culprit for the global drop in fertility: • In the US and UK, births fell first and fastest in areas that got 4G earliest • Birth rates were stable in the US, UK and Australia until 2007; in France and Poland until 2009; in Mexico and Indonesia until 2012; in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal until 2013-15 Each of these inflection points matches local smartphone adoption (see picture). • The younger the age group, the sharper the drop. • in-person socialising among young adults is dropping. In SK, by 50% in 20 years • Sexual dysfunction is higher among heavy social media user • Effect is largest in culturally traditional societies — Middle East, Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa • Decline holds across countries hit hard by GFC 2008 and those not hit, fast-growing and not growing. Excellent again @jburnmurdoch. ft.com/content/fba35e…

A basket of groceries in Istanbul is now more expensive than in the UK. I compared two online shopping baskets - 1 from Carrefour for delivery in Istanbul; one from Sainsbury's. The price of 19 basic items in the UK totalled £44.53. The price of the 19 basic items in Istanbul totalled 4,425.18 TL / £71.99 at today's exchange rate. I compared using the cheapest available options and the most similar items/quantities available. There are a few items that really push up the cost of the grocery basket in Turkey, namely beef and instant coffee (?!). Some goods such as olive oil are roughly the same price as in the UK, while some items such as eggs, milk and onions are quite a bit cheaper in Turkey. The gross minimum wage in Turkey is 33,030 (£537.88) a month. The gross minimum wage in the UK is £12.71 an hour for people over 21. Assuming a 35 hour working week, this is £444.85 a week. None of this is to say that people in the UK have it easy. I know the cost of living crisis - already years in the making and now exacerbated by the war in Iran - is hitting many people very very hard. The point I'm rather trying to make is that inflation in Turkey is crazy, pushing living costs up to levels that far outstrip what many people earn.

Like a lot of people, I have my strong criticisms of Netanyahu. But one important metric of a man is how he treats his employees. Netanyahu flies to the White House 7 times a year to visit his, and now he's sitting down with more of them on Israeli State TV. Credit where due.

Zack Polanski has just retweeted this. I don’t understand how, if you truly believe in Green values, you are in any way content with Reform winning. Many more votes to be counted, but Greens have, in some areas, split the vote
Owen Jones@owenjonesjourno

The major Green targets don’t report until this afternoon. But as John Curtice notes, elsewhere in the country, Labour are losing to Reform candidates often because they bled so much support to the Greens.

Too many universities are selling immigration, not education. Last year, about 250,000 foreign students took up taxpayer-funded student loans to pay for their courses in the UK, worth £4bn. This is not fair. A @reformparty_uk government will make sure that the British taxpayer is not paying for foreign students. Let’s put British students first.

@cyberpyre This is not entirely accurate. In Wittgenstein’s terminology, facts do not create a state of affairs. A fact is itself a state of affairs, but there can also be possible states of affairs which do not necessarily amount to facts.

In the Tractatus Wittgenstein claims that the world is made of facts, not things, and that facts create a state of affairs through their relation to other facts. This is closer to the "physics envy" this person mentions (see how Russell fits here)
typebulb@typebulbit

@corsaren Wittgenstein was validated by LLMs/NNs. He argued human categories like "chair" had no clean definition made up of necessary & sufficient conditions. His contemporaries had huge physics envy: "we will find the formula for everything!". But yeah, no, we need messy matrices.
