⚙️ Dev mode redirects assets to the dev server.
🔨 Prod mode replace assets by their hashed names.
We can now embed/join the HTML into the Golang file keeping all the logic and code define within <go></go> tags.

@catalinmpit I'm invested into Golang for 6 months now.
And even created a Go tool around esbuild to compile JS project to be served as static files with Go backend.

I'm flexible and always try to pick the right tools for the job.

I try to pick them every time it makes sense.

Oops, fly_server.log wasn't being flushed so the log file became 16 GB and the server disk was 100% full :D

🌟 Record 22,000 players today on fly.pieter.com 🪧 I'm still selling ad slots but I'll be limiting them now so the game doesn't get overloaded with ads, there's 6 slots left and then it's full, you can get them here: buy.stripe.com/00g5lueHfbdifB… 📈 @businessbarista calculated the game has received about 75 million views on X now, which was a few days ago so I think over 100 million views now It's very interesting to follow the dialogue about it, a lot of people think it's cool, and I think a lot of indie game devs are quite riled up about it and think I'm retarded I definitely agree with that but also I'm just learning things in public as I've done the last 10 years on here, and most people that know me is that this imperfection is the entire point: It's about getting over procrastination (like working for 3 years on a game then launching it and getting 2 sales) and instead just shipping things based on public demand (like building based on features ppl on here ask for) I can see how seeing non-game dev ppl try make games is annoying if you've been doing game dev all your life, but we'll more and more see interdisciplinary works of art (or business!) appear because AI makes it possible for people to jump disciplines more easily All of this reminds me of how angry people in drum & bass music were back in the day at @rob_swire from @Pendulum for doing more commercially friendly music, very similar story I started this just wanting to play around with AI and it was on my personal pieter .com domain because that's where I put my fun and hacky projects, there was no goal with this to make money or anything, so it's funny it all took off like this! I know the hate is more about AI than me personally, and there's also lots of love so all good cause I got elephant skin after 10 years of Twitter 😊 Anyway DONE today: ✅ Fixed crashes and deaths did not get broadcasted ✅ Fixed NippleJS getting stuck ✅ Added minimap on mobile ✅ Added first helicopter (Apache) ✅ Added start screen animation of world ✅ Added 10 minute rounds now, then scores reset ✅ Added basic gyroscope support so you can fly the plane by rotating your phone but still buggy
