BREAKING: The White House has informed Congress that hostilities with Iran have officially ended following the ceasefire that halted active combat operations, according to Reuters and other U.S. media reports. The move comes as the Trump administration argues the ceasefire “terminated” the conflict for the purposes of the War Powers Resolution, even as tensions and the naval blockade continue.

BREAKING: Trump tells Congress he does not need authorization for Iran operations on the day the 60-day War Powers deadline expires, calling congressional authorization "unconstitutional," per NBC. The US naval blockade of Iran's ports remains active and is itself an act of war. Trump's letters to Congress nonetheless argue the April 7 ceasefire means "hostilities have terminated" and the 60-day clock no longer applies.
