@tdfkdpyfhk @mike_fagan12 @KlakSerena @TheBreakdownAB the reason they import it is because it makes sense economically. if it didn't make sense they wouldn't do it. that's why willful idiots on twitter aren't in charge of things like this

@tdfkdpyfhk @mike_fagan12 @KlakSerena @TheBreakdownAB I'm not saying we should, I'm saying we do. Alberta crude is also not particularly good because it comes from the oil sands, so it's harder to refine. Yes, we have tons of oil but much of it is locked away in the earth where we can't profitably get it

@DJChocolateMLK @cspotweet Rural healthcare workers won’t have a choice. They are public servants. They are paid to serve the taxpayers. Otherwise leave. Next.

Saskatchewan is Alberta 2.0 in that the urban-rural divide could not be more stark. You have to wonder what it means for governments elected on the back of rural voters but whose provinces are driven economically by those urban centres.

You ever feel like you wanna delete all your apps and throw your phone in the trash and unsubscribe from every streaming service and wonder if you’re either a) about to have a psychotic episode or b) just thinking clearly for once?

@FlourrisPr00t @AleksKalashnkov it's more regulations making it such that large vehicles are the most profitable and easiest to build to emissions standards I think

Post WWII farming is largely terrible for the environment and completely unsustainable. Even if we weren't loosing top soil at a crazy rate, experts say we're at or close to peak phosphorous since we've broken the phosphorous cycle open. Better, though usually more labor intensive, practices can produce on par or better yields per acre. The biggest problems are that we have denegrate farmers and trades. We stereotype farmers as stupid. We discourage young people from entering farming or trades. We are enamored with technology and chemcials and loath work. If we valued farmers and saved space for them instead of more high rises, then people in NYC would still have local food. Look to people like Joel Salatin and Gabe Brown to see sustrainable farming done well.

@kallashnykov @MarcusH_01 @injeramarxist who came up with that definition? I'm trying to genuinely understand but this doesn't make any sense to me. I thought it had a lot more to do with violent nationalism and that sort of thing

@MarcusH_01 @injeramarxist Fascism is a specific period of capitalism in crisis, when the rate of profit is collapsing. The rich resort to militarism and the suppression of the working class in order to maximize profits and reassert capitalism.
