"Scaling Self-Play with Self-Guidance"
The main problem with self-play for theorem proving is that generator usually learns to reward hack, which produces messy hard problems that do not help the solver.
This paper suggests by adding a Guide model that scores generated subproblems for relevance and cleanliness, the guide will keep self-play aligned with useful intermediate steps.
This keeps the improvements for training much longer than RL, and a 7B model after enough self-play can beat a 671B model's pass@4.

AI labs are in a very awkward spot
because mainstream media and the general public still don't understand and believe that this is real
they think it's just fear-mongering,
but it's a future we are predictably heading toward
imagine trying to warn someone of an imminent danger, but they just disregard it as fear-mongering

This is why I'm so conflicted about Trump. While I disagree with most of his policies, he's unquestionably an upstanding man of moral character and great integrity. I wish the Dems had someone like that.

🚨 Holy shxt… The rules of AI image generation just completely changed.
A GPT-based model currently testing in the arena under the bizarre name 'duct-tape' is turning the global AI community upside down. What exactly did they feed this thing?
→ Native-level text generation with zero awkwardness. → Chilling consistency maintained down to the pixel. → Overwhelming illustration quality ready for immediate commercial use.
"Is it just downloading photos from the internet?" That was every tester's first reaction. It's that unbelievable.
A game-changer that instantly crumbles Nano Banana Pro's dominance has arrived. A lot of people might need to start packing their desks again.

This will probably be one of my most controversial posts ever but we will never really solve the modern fertility crisis,
at least not for a good while because the true key answer to why birth rates have dived is modern feminism.
Now this is fantastic for women, independence from men, higher wages, more choices. All that great stuff.
But it fundamentally means hypergamy has substantially altered forever in response to that, and it means since the sexual revolution + birth control was mass rolled out, there will be less successful couplings and less marriages, which means less kids.
No one wants to reverse this, China isn't going to roll back modern feminism, even North Korea doesn't go that drastic. Only Afghanistan stands as the sole outlier globally on this and everyone HATES Afghanistan, they are the peak pariah state on the planet.
It just is what it is.

It's the AI accelerationists who give up at the smallest challenge and accept defeat who have a "dark view of humanity".
The people you call "doomers" believe humanity can come together and internationally cooperate to prevent disaster.

@thedaywar90 It's obvious that she still feels she is untouchable. Glorious will be the day when the walls close in and she cannot bring her arrogance before Congress, instead she can consider looking through the bars during her incarceration.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸 Former U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton:
"It is shocking that Trump said no one informed him that Iran could close the Strait of Hormuz. I find it unbelievable that one of the fundamental pillars of geopolitical strategy in the Middle East was ignored. That was the first thing we assumed Iran would do. It is their main tool of global leverage. We are now seeing the consequences of a foreign policy driven by impulse rather than strategy.

@BanjoAtheist He was clear. Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. These two are actually the same commandment, as illustrated in the parable of the sheep and the goats.
