This very clear and specific (not vague) promise directly contradicts MTA legal agreements with bondholders. That's fine, I guess, but it is interesting that the MTA doesn't raise it as a new political risk in bond docs.

Subway conductor just announced our train was stopped for a “police inspection.” Then, for 5 minutes, pairs of officers walked thru the cars and platform. No specific complaint, per officer, just looking “for any kind of violation.” (They got a tourist for vaping). Is this new?

Joint Bike Lane Education Event today at 42nd Street and 35th Street on 1st Avenue. Working together along with Department of Transportation to keep our Pedestrians and cyclist safe by teaching proper use of our bike lanes.

@jehiah @FueraBL @NYC_DOT That all would work for me! All of CPW (like most/all bike lanes) actually needs curbs to keep cars from parking in the hashed area where flexi posts are currently deployed. Way too many cars/delivery drivers temp park there.

@sethwcunningham @FueraBL @NYC_DOT I am willing to accept week before/after for the parade - but the marathon doesn’t even use it beyond egress - the flex posts do not need to be removed for that. But extra enforcement should be focused here to compensate for the physical design changes.

So frustrating to have Central Park West blocked. This is what happens when @NYC_DOT removes the flex posts in a context with very poor enforcement.
