Old school soil sampling with youngest apprentice today in central Victoria. Deep N, soil moisture. Good data, great moisture after early summer rain in 2 mths that we can avg in growing season but no rain for past 2mths. Wouldn’t take it on if not confident moisture to 1m👌

@burgess_ag We’ve been off grid for 8 years but have a back up generator. I upgraded all panels and batteries and added a second inverter 5 years ago so don’t rely on generator much.

Does anyone in my “group of people” know anything about setting a house up off grid? Or point me in the right direction please?

Testing hurricane tolerance to Ally. 30g ha used to hit star of Bethlehem last spring and sown into hurricane lentils this year. Learnings are - Bethlehem is tough stuff and hurricanes have solid residue tolerance ! @JasonBrand @CropDoctor54 @brettbarker92 @tommy_bath
