I think they didn't have a plan for the trilogy. And if you're going to write a trilogy, you're writing act one, act two, act three. You need to have a plan for those and they didn't, which just flabbergasted me when that came out that they hadn't gotten the whole thing put together before they did. You should at least have an outline, write it up a little."
