Max Bobrovskyy, PhD (@gr8hehe) is a Postdoctoral Scholar in @MissiakasLab. He was awarded a K99 this year for his project which focuses on the specialized Type 7b Secretion System (T7bSS) of S. aureus where it supports effector translocation, and facilitates invasive disease.

#SayHello to our Postdoc @gr8hehe 🧫 Max studies the ESAT-6 like Secretion System of Staph, identifying targets/mechanisms of secreted toxins. Recently, he was awarded the NIAID K99/R00 grant!! Max is a SUPERSTAR in the lab but also in the dojo where he practices his 👊🏼 JUDO 🥋

#SayHello to our Postdoc, Miaomiao Shi. Currently she works on the mechanisms whereby Protein A mediates B cell activation but was also integral in our vaccine 💉 development. Outside of lab, Miaomiao is super into rock climbing and bouldering 🧗‍♀️ because she's just the coolest!

Growing up in India, the 'use it until completely broken' was deeply ingrained in our minds. Sadly, this culture is eroding fast in India as well, as incomes rise. I still find it very hard to adapt to disposable culture. Need laws against unreasonable disposable items.
