Zach Merrett has been a wonderful player over 12 years. He should always be remembered in high regards on what he has contributed on field to EFC. It is time however to look at trade options for him. Should be a clear win/win for both parties.

@HawkTalkPod Correct! We will now get SFA for him, was our perfect opportunity to take a couple of Hawk players and draft picks for the rebuild. He got like 15 touchs rd 4 or 5, putrid performance and quite evident he is not interseded and just going through the motions.

So Essendon played hardball with the Hawks for the sake of one more season of Zach... a season in which they're 1-8. On what measure has it been worth it? And yet I'm absolutely certain their supporters still believe it was the right call, i.e. for the club to dig its heels in.

@Gameoverluke His kicking is not elite, but today he showed he gets the ball, he is in and under the packs and gets it out and his handballing was creative and effective. And he has pace. He needs to be given a decent chance.

Tsatas at 43% but did we see anything really bad about his play? One kick to the flank that he didn't hit well.

Essendon have strengthened their defense and midfield very well the last month. The big doubt for me is the forward-line. Little depth in small forwards in terms of quality and 3-4 tall forwards with some doubt on making it.
